In EY GDS do new parents receive any gifts?
No one gets shit done after 6. It’s just a waiting game. Just have to pretend to work until your manager/senior leaves
Don’t worry once a little adrenaline kicks in you’ll be fine for 3 months
Welcome to the real world
by taking a break to eat dinner at 6
Adderall helps
Drink Spark (Advocare)
If i take adderall it keeps me up all night
Take small breaks through the day and drink lots of water. Also start your day with something you enjoy - I read in my way to work because it’s something I love. Don’t do meth.
Seriously, take a nice long dinner break. I used to take at least an hour, walk to a pool bar to shoot a few games, or meet up with some friends for dinner. Back in the office by 7 and go on til 10+. That was as a staff - senior though, those years where you're expected to stick around as long as someone needs you. Once you get to high senior+, just get your work done asap and gtfoutta there
PwC4, if you're talking to me, then most of the time, yes. If I don't trust the person, I would be very hesitant. I work with a lot of different people and most of them get their shit done no matter where they are. Some of them don't and do literally nothing when "working from home", which doesn't go well during busy season
Totally agree, a waiting game
Pwc4 were not allowed to work from home until the manager is ready to go work from home at 11pm
Yes
Take a walk outside before sunset.
You will toughen up.
I’m not choosing to stop. My brain legit stops working
Don’t work after 6 then. The firms preach flexibility so just use that excuse and don’t take no for an answer. And if it’s busy season then just teach yourself to come in earlier eat well sleep well and be out by 6
You left for dinner as a staff? How on earth did you make it to senior
During a bad busy season, I'll work from 9-2 A.M. I would probably loose my shit if someone told me they needed to leave at 6 every day and I would pull in someone else to do the work. During a more normal busy season, I'll work from 9-11. I'd be okay if you came in at 5 or 6 every day and left by 6, but if you show up at 8 as "early", I'd be mad you don't think you need to put in the same hours as the rest of the team
Do you allow people to work from home after 6?
