I got a bonus from my old Boston based employer in January 2021, by which time I’d moved to NYC for business school. I’m moving back to Boston after school so did not declare permanent residency here in NYC (vote and driver licensed in MA). So my domicile is in MA even though my current residence is in NY. Do I have to pay NY taxes on this bonus?

Partner community, it’s interesting to see so much opacity and variation around partner comp...for the benefit of the community at large, do you mind sharing; (1) company, (2) Years as Partner / Equivalent, (3) cash comp (base + bonus) and (4) % Commission? Fully understand that “commission” is not the standard by any means but if you could express your comp beyond cash as % of revenue sold, I think we can cut through the noise a bit. TIA!

Looking for neighborhood recs in Seattle? I’ll be there for about two months in early Fall. I enjoy access to light hiking and city walks - I’m aware I’ll likely have to drive out for a good weekend hike. I’ll have a road bike to zip around as well and am just looking for the best “Seattle experience” that I can reminisce when I get older. All that being said, COVID is still going to be around, so while I do want to be in the city, I don’t think the densest part of downtown would be ideal. Thx!
