That seems really low. How many YoE do you have? Glassdoor has the average pay for a radiology tech at $32/hr, but obviously that might be lower based on experience. Still quite a discrepancy, though.

like

Tech assistant is not the same as radiological technologist. Tech assistant doesn't require any education in the field and is not licensed to perform radiological exams.

Where is Florida do you live? South, Central, North? Major City or rural? The location will have different pay rate. If this is your first tech assistant job, $16 is around ballpark range for that position starting out.

That does seem low. I would ask for a little higher. Probably $18.

Hi Sharks, how do you feel about HR's tactics of splitting the annual hike into two parts (October and April)?

I'm starting a Fintech company with a friend from undergrad. We are both working fulltime at our respective jobs. We are close to having a working demo and are thinking of quiting by end of year to work on our startup fulltime. We both would like to go the VC way and raise some money (we need some income to maintain our families.)

Neither of us has raised money before. Can anyone provide some ballpark numbers on how much money we can raise vs how much equity we give? Any aprox guidance helps.

Hey, Chi. First time caller.

So I'm considering a switch from law to consulting, and noticed EY has started posting salary ranges for positions. All the mid- to senior-level jobs I'm looking at are in the $95k to $150k range. Is that right? True for all the big 4? Seems super low. I guess I never thought about it before but how exactly do you folks get paid?

So I work for a multimillion dollar company
Here’s my dilemma. I started as a temp in the traffic department as a scheduler in April of 2021. I was making 44K a year with ZERO benefits.
I applied for a different position in logistics and got the job! BUT is came with a HUGE pay cut. I went from making 44K a year to 32K. I work my butt off and feel like I should be making more for my responsibilities. I’ve only been here a year but I do more than I should.
Is it too soon to renegotiate my pay?

I think I deserve more, but I don’t know how to ask for it, and don’t know how to begin a job search aside from indeed. Any advice?

I’m a MSN, RN with 7 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU/PACU). Prior to becoming a nurse, I was a Medical Service Corps officer in the US Army for 8 years. I have my BSN/MSN and a non-nursing MA.
