You only have two years of experience and they offering you $68k a year and all those benefits? If you don't want that job I'll take it. That is a pretty amazing offer, you're unlikely to find anything better or that good

I couldnt find much to give me a point of reference for what to expect for my year of experience so thank you!!! This is what I needed to hear.

Honestly sounds like a stellar offer for a new college grad! Great benefits and you're guaranteed a raise in a year no matter what. I would take it as is, or potentially ask for 5-10k more if you feel you need to negotiate for the sake of it. Congratulations!

I’m gonna be working for a law school in Boston and I just graduated w my masters in integrated marketing & i’ll be the only one on the team that has photography, videography, and editing skills so i’ll be able to progress their website and digital presence in a way they havent been able to so thats what leans me towards having a reason to negotiate for at least 5k more but wanted opinions on if it was valid to negotiate for more or if this is average for the position and yoe. I know im getting severely under paid at my current position which is why i really have no frame of reference. I appreciate your input and congratulations, thank you!!

That's a pretty good offer for someone with minimal work experience. I had to start with $40k plus bonus. You're lucky to be able to get an offer that much.

if you’re in florida that’s pretty good. Somewhere like NYC I would be concerned

Im gonna be in Downtown Boston, thats one reason i feel i have grounds for asking for more. Glassdoor has the average for a marketing manager as $88,956— $69,518 base salary and $19,438 a year of additional pay.

I am a 7 year litigation associate and so burnt out on it. I want to transition to in house, but have applying and not getting traction. My experience is mostly insurance defense/coverage, and most of the positions out there seem to be for tech or transactional work. I also come from smaller firms and a smaller school, so no big names behind me. All the recruiters I’ve talked to will only peg me as an insurance defense associate and won’t send me anything else. How do I get out of litigation?

Does it make sense to move from one business unit to another at same position? What sort of pay raise one usually gets with that kind of move? Currently at B30 (Senior Analyst). Also, will it also affect current year’s rating and bonus? Does one have to serve notice period for an internal move? If yes, then how much?
