Accepted an offer, but the day before another company came at to interview. They offer more pay, better benefits, works more in line with what I want. But they haven't given me an offer yet, I just have a very good feeling. If I do get offer 2 how bad is it to go back on offer 1?
What would you do? 34 years old. Offered partnership in hometown local firm 7+ years in the making that offers opportunity to earn 150-200k+ per year + benefits. Also just received unsolicited offer to be in house at young small company that will start at 200k and offer equity totaling payouts of low 7 figures over next five years but requires me to be away four nights/wk 2 hrs from home. May be able to work remote 2 days eventually. Life span of company is 5ish years. Married w/ 3 kids under 5
Is saving over rated? Starting to think my general strategy/approach to savings. I recently posed a question about why people don’t retire earlier after seeing maxing out your tax accounts (~30K with match) gives you ~70k in today’s dollars (not 70k in 2060 dollars). I was a bit hyper obsessed about saving that extra 2-3k a year and saying no to that extra beach trip or mountain weekend or even a round of golf. Now I think I should be saying yes, what do you guys think? Just curious for thisconv
How is the overall WLB, benefits and general pay structure for a Manager role within the BIA team at BMS?
Considering a few offers and had a quick question. What are the benefits of commercial banking at JP Morgan compared to Management Consulting?
Questions for a newer investor. I don’t come from a finance background but I’ve been educating myself on stocks and just started investing this year! As a 24yr old I’m in if for the long term. I started with an ETF but want to expand. I’d like to hear different opinions if people believe diversifying portfolio with different sectors (like individual tech and healthcare stocks) is important, or better to first buy more shares of one ETF then diversity?
At EY we get our health insurance cards, but how does one find their MetLife dental information?
If you could retire in an international location, where would it be? I think I'd go somewhere in Central America
I’m fairly new to contributing to my 401k, I see mixed opinions on Roth vs. Traditional. My informal life advisor is trying to tell me that the opportunity cost for not having the investments in the traditional 401k is greater than the long term tax benefits from contributing to a Roth 401k? Does anyone have a qualified opinion on this?
Not in IB or ER, but I have to ask (per CFA study), how common is it to run in to troublesome pension accounting issues? It seems like most companies have/are going the way of DC plans and away frm DB

Goodies given to employees in Accenture is project dependent? Which projects are giving good benefits ?
Having grown up in the lower middle class and not with much money family wise, I always thought one day when I made six figures I would have tons of money coming in, but lately I am discouraged with my “take home pay”. Combined my wife and I make about $275k, we max both our 401k accounts out and after all taxes, and other deductions we take home roughly $150k. Don’t get me wrong this is a great amount. I just always dreamed my take home would be more. Anyone else feel this way? We lose over 40%
I am trying to buy a plot of land and was just advised that taking out a land loan for $25k is not the best decision and I might want to consider a HELOC or borrowing from my 401k. Both HELOC and 401k I have always been told are bad decisions. After thinking about it, I definitely want to go in with an all cash offer, just need to find the $25k. Any advice?
Most posts on here don’t really paint a positive picture of life in the USDC. Is there anyone on here who has had a good experience working in the USDC? Are any of you working in teams or groups in the USDC that seem great to be a part of? Any leaders or groups in the USDC you have heard of that seem to care and are great to work with or for?
Do people know how to determine a colleagues salary? I see lots of people complaining or boasting comparing their salaries to other people at Deloitte...and I wonder how do they know what other people make?

Hi everyone, this is a question on Health Spending Account. Does the UK have a health spending account like the US, where, similar to a Roth or ISA, the money you put in this account will not be taxed so long as you spend for health reasons. Through my company, we are using Vitality services for our healthcare and we have a Personal Health Fund, but we cannot more cash to it. And to make it more annoying, this money does not roll over to the next year. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Despite all the negativity about how “bad” is handling COVID, we are actually crushing it compared to most of our developed-country peers.
Tax Senior 2, how much are you getting offered for industry jobs in NYC? Total comp/salary/bonus details appreciated
Let’s discuss gender pay gaps by assessing our own discrepancies. I’ll start. I’m a 29 YO female, almost 6 years experience total, at a 115 base, guaranteed 126 if I meet utilization, with potential for more bonus. No target school or MBA. I’m happy with where I’m at, but are my male counterparts on here making more or relatively the same?
HR onboarding position at Cepheid(biotech) in Newark or Talent Sourcer with TikTok in Mountain View. I don’t mind the drive to Newark because it’s only two days a week guaranteed for the long term for New Hire Orientation. Which position has more long term career growth opportunities? Both start @of as contract and convert to FTE based on performance. I need an answer by Sunday. Any advice helps!!! Thanks guys! TikTok
So I’m an incoming non-tech summer intern at Facebook. I’m moving from Wall Street finance into the tech world which has always been a goal of mine. I’m a junior in college and I want to know what tips you professionals have for me for killing the internship and being productive without burning myself out. I want to be extremely intentional and hit my goals to receive an amazing return offer based on performance so maybe I can later leverage that offer with other tech companies! Thanks Facebook

Hi FB family - seeking some help for my soon to be graduating son. He has an interview with capital one. He’s cleared other stages thus far. This last one he’s pretty intimidated by because it includes some type of case interview where the Capital One team will share a pseudo code type case. Anyone know what the format of that interview is? What type of case to expect? Appreciate any guidance on how to prep. Thanks in advance.
For GRE, do schools care about your writing scores? I heard they don’t, just wanted to confirm if true and whether that differs between MBA vs non MBA
