I have been contacted by a hiring manager for a data analytical manager role to manage data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists. The team size will be around 15 people. The team will be over all analytics for the company. It is a 300 million funded healthcare startup and remote position. What total compensation package seems fair for this role? I have received job offer from KPMG UK. They are running background check on my immediate two employers. They have out source this to third party vendor. I have employment gap of 6 months. How do you determine which contract to sell when you have multiple contracts of the same stock? For example i have multiple contracts with various strikes and expiration dates on FB and wanted to take some profits and cut losses on some. Some I bought a few weeks ago so they were more expensive then some of others. I was just wondering if there is a strategy on which to sell or is it all based on expiration date or is it some combo of expiration date and premium paid.

Car Tire gurus - Yokohama Avid Ascend GT vs LX. I live in CO so winter capability is important, but with a Subaru Outback the car already is well equipped.

Question is whether or not the GT is that much better in the snow that it is worth foregoing an extra 20,000 miles potential tread life with the LX.

I got an offer for Amazon Business Analyst II (L5) and the TC is pretty disappointing. Is it because of the upcoming recession or did I just set my expectation too high? I was expecting a base of ~140K and this is what I got. Any thoughts and how to counter? :(

Sign-on: $25K+$20K (two years)

How many phone interviews did you have before the loop?

I’ve had 2 phone interviews so far. Last Friday I was told I’m moving forward to a video interview and portfolio review with the hiring manager. If that goes well, I assume I’m doing the loop. (Why is this process so long? 🤪) I haven’t heard back from the scheduler yet. How long does it typically take to get scheduled for a video interview and then for the loop?

Ugh, I am four business days past my loop interview and tomorrow is five, which is their maximum number of days they said they would take to make a decision. I’m trying to be optimistic, like, if they unanimously didn’t want me they probably would have told me sooner. But who knows?! The waiting is the worst part, knowing if the time investment into interview prep was actually worth it.

I had a loop interview and the result was: "You are a good fit for Amazon, just not that position." I have a second loop interview tomorrow. Any suggestions? I wish I had more feedback from my first interview.

Completed my loop for an L5 TPM role last Friday (I split my loop into 2 days — game changer!). My biggest advice is use the peer informal interview to your fullest advantage. I got some extremely useful information from the individual on what the team does and I was able to tailor my examples / stories accordingly.

I heard back yesterday immediately after my debrief that I got the job!

Short Rant: Got a referral for an AWS role, when I got the HR email to complete my candidacy 2 days later I was rejected without any type of phone screening or anything.

Especially when I met more than 90% of the requirements (entry level position) & I work in the field they are looking for. I am so perplexed & feel stupid.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I thought it was very hard for a referral to NOT at least get a screening call. What did (or didn't) I do right.

Any advice on interviewing for Senior Technical Writer roles? I found some postings on LinkedIn and I'm curious about the interview process for remote roles.
