I’ve worked in Consulting for the past 2.5 years and I’ve loved it! Today is the day where all the horror stories I’ve heard about consulting came true. I worked until 1AM this morning to finish deliverables for a client I’m working on. I’ve had PTO on the books for the past two months and jumped on a flight this morning to enjoy the rest of the week off. I land and my phone buzzes for a fire drill that only I can solve. Should I work for the next 10 hours and fix or say screw it not my problem?

How far in advance of taking vacation do you let partners know you’ll be out of office? Is one month before a week long vacation okay?

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. I have worked in 3 organization till now.

So in my first organization my last working day was 23rd oct 2017 and for my 2 nd organization my joining date is 25 sept 2017....these dates are overlapping because my 1st organization had vacation concept(bench without pay)..... So i served notice period there and my second organization asked me join immediately.
Will this overlapping affect my bgv in wipro?

Hello, currently I am on notice period, last month I have worked on saturday and applied for compensatory off in BMS tool, and in workday I had applied as Casual time off as my manager told m to do so. now I am getting leave type mismatch email , and manager is saying you can ignore that email.
