I got an offer from OpenText Canada for a Sernior Java Developer. How much is the salary for such positions? Is 70k per annum low?

70k as a dev with 5 yrs is what I was making nearly 20 years ago. It is low, imho.

like

70k for a senior role seems pretty low, can you check some thing like Glassdoor to see what other people in the company are making? Maybe a little of this is me not converting CA$ to USD but you should negotiate higher if you can, or take the job and ditch for a better one to make money while looking.

Years of exp ?? Try negotiating better 100 k

No comment on pay but they're local to me and I know several people that work there and would not recommend them unless you are truly desperate/miserable at your current role. https://www.glassdoor.ca/Reviews/OpenText-Canada-Reviews-EI_IE5694.0,8_IL.9,15_IN3.htm?filter.iso3Language=eng

I am still in my contract period, but if I were to be given an opportunity to be a full-time employee after my contract, I was wondering what the salary range is for an Associate in IFS (Internal Firm Services)? I have 5 years of experience in Administration and 4 years in Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance functions. If you could please advise of the range so I can ballpark in future negotiations. Thank you!

I have a phone screen interview with AWS for the position of Systems Engineer with the Linux team early next week. I’ve been a Sys Admin for the last 4 years, and I’m not very well-versed with coding. The phone screen does have whiteboard coding, any tips on what I could do to prepare for this? I’m not sure if I can let the interviewer know I’m not too strong with coding. I do want to take up the challenge, and also find out if the role would require extensive coding though. Any tips?

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. I’ve been trying vitamin D and working out, but it makes my “highs” and “low” SO extreme. The simplest things are so complex in my mind.

If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? If so, how would I go about doing that? Thanks!
