I keep reading all these posts about firms laying off a ton of people. Can someone explain what happens after one gets laid off? Like do they just fire you and that's it? What happens to the pay? Etc.

Are any of the firms planning more layoffs? Any specific industries? Is it just lack of demand causing this?

However, now I applied for a new job via LinkedIn and tomorrow I have an online interview and currently even though I know I’m perfect for the job and I know my abilities, I’m afraid I’ll fail. Stuck in CA with project team while husband is stuck in hurricane in Orlando. Not sure what to do.

I’m an overweight woman (150 lbs, 5’7”) and I have been doing a lot of strength training. I haven’t checked my weight in ~2 months but I feel much more “toned” and strong. I’m also eating way healthier than I used to, with minimal processed foods. However, my stomach fat has not seemed to changed even a little bit and this bothers me. Anything I can do to help flatten my stomach a little bit?
