I’m currently working on a project where I’m in a group of four. Someone said “hey I’m in your group”, and I said “sorry, the group is full”, and they said “when did we pick up this other person, we can’t do groups of 5”. They aren’t picking up the hint...
Project Manager: What to do when some of your peers complain the work you assign to them and always push back?
I work for a small boutique firm with ABYSMAL and TOXIC culture. The CEO has a habit of firing anyone who questions/disobeys him (he fired 40+ consultants since concis started) 5 consultants (incl myself) quit in the past 2 weeks leaving the firm with less than 10 consultants. I’m loving this karma
What's your title and what's the longest amount of time you've been job less due to layoffs. (New to the industry and want to be prepared for the worst)
How long til big4 start layoffs? No recurring rev & slow pipeline. They will hold people as long as possible primarily bc its “product” & expensive to hire & retrain but math will take over
Has anyone ever replied „Fucking horrible“ to a project leader when asked how the assignment is going? Did and it got me thinking whether i should have bs‘ed more - even internally. Got me trouble!
For those who survived layoffs and crises before, what things and actions made a difference? How'd you come out stronger? Did you pivot into something new entirely?
🎏 fam: I'm an analyst on a project where I can gain some serious data visualization skills. Is this a hot skillset to have? Should I look to become an expert with Tableau/Spotfire, cont
Anyone here who was already working in the US on H1B but trying to leave consulting or laid off, ever take up an offer for a new job in Europe/Asia and transfer back to the US, either on the previous active H1B or L1?
I have a campus recruiting event next Saturday for 5 hours. This is on top of my project work. Can I charge OT for it? I'm an analyst.
Weber people - have there been any layoffs in your city yet? Hoping to be wrong, but I assume this is going to be the announcement in tomorrow’s all-staff call... ☹️
Anyone sent out a super important deck and then sit in wonder if the data is correct and if it is wrong, defo going to get fired? ^Mood for the day.
Anyone here been able to transition from agency side to consumer tech? Headhunters say I'm an easy sell to another agency but tough to open up to client side given that I have no experience.
Over the last few months I’ve seen a lot of staff/seniors quit and move to other jobs. Is this normal for this time? I feel like everyone I know is worried about not being laid off but here I see people dropping like flies. What’s going on? Side note if you are in audit and need a job contact me. 😂

Great company to work with, amazing funding and backing, already working with some very big names in Retail, CPG etc. PM me! Thanks
Anyone dealt with colleagues with BO during a project? Been over 10 months and conference rooms at client site stinks!

Just hit 2k heart points. Dunno what it means but I'd like to thank you all. I don't know what you like about this account but goddamit I'm going to keep doing it. Stay sleazy, consultants 👹

Is asking for a compensation "equal to what other employees at same position in the firm make" rude while negotiating salary?
Thoughts on returning to a prior firm? Bad idea? Or ok under the right circumstances? My main reasons for leaving were better salary and to live closer to family. I work quite a bit more now so I don’t see my family that often, and am always working when I do go visit. Also, interestingly, I received a significant raise at my last firm about a week before I gave notice. So they *were* willing to pay me more; it just happened too late.
So I understand age discrimination in the general sense and I believe in it. However, I think something that isn’t talked about is age/gender discrimination against women in the reproductive age range. I feel like people could be looking at me and thinking: if we hire her, she might get pregnant soon. It’s so unfair and this is why we have a wage gap (or one of the reasons)! Thoughts? Any ways to get around this?
Arthur must be aware of the critical mismanagement of SR/P.S. Missed targets, declining revenue, continual layoffs. Why then does leadership still have jobs and allowed to protect themselves?
How much do exit opportunities actually correlate to the law firm you’re working at? I often hear people advising to shoot for the V10s for the best exits, but do those firms actually give better chances than a V30? Are V10 clients only hiring directly from V10s? Trying to figure out whether choosing a V30 that I really liked over a V10 (that will probably make me hate my life) would actually be detrimental to future opportunities.
I’m moving to new state (Indiana from South Carolina) and and going to a 6th grade position. Any suggestions for must have things for a 6th grade gen ed classroom?
For anyone worried about leaving before a busy season, my friend just got laid off from a mid sized. You gotta think about yourself first bc they won't hesitate to let you go,regardless of client load
Which key points (that I might have missed) should I focus on when talking to my MD about a promotion (from Analyst to Consultant)?
Supposed to join mbb post mba. In case my offer gets postponed to jan 2021, what should I do given that traveling the world is not an option.
Does anyone know if you will still get your bonus payout during a leave of absence or will they withhold until you come back? (considering taking a leave of absence this year)
The youngest baby boomers are either 54 or 55. In about 5 years all of them will be out. Does feel like there would be a dramatic change in our culture at the big four/Consulting and fortune 500?
Advisory manager at big 4, getting 25% base increase to go to smaller firm - bit fed up with current projects but have great network but idk if this I even what I want to be doing long term. Hard to ignore the comp increase. Thoughts? Should I try to get my current comp matched?
What’s the pay (base + bonus) like for entry level associate at BCG (w work experience but not sure if that plays into it) trying to get a good picture of what’s fair
Do rising seniors get a performance based bonus along with the promotion bonus and raise? Heard some of the staff 1s got some nice ovation awards from the firm for "high performance" this week.
