Sitting or standing desk?
Look for something else. You can most likely get that raise by jumping ship.
7 full months is too long. You’re being played. They’re not going to back date that much time
Get in writing when you’ll be getting it and confirmation of pay being back dated to the the day you got the promotion. They are charging you out as an Snr AM... they can afford to pay you!
Just leave. Make a lateral move and get more money then they promised you.
I really like it here, so I’m going to try to get it in writing when it’s happening + back pay, and if that doesn’t happen I’m getting out. Promotions are nice and all, but it’s the $$$ that shows they want me
Promotion without pay seriously is a big slap in the face. Doesn’t seem like they respect you
I don’t know your situation, but often delays in salaries and directly related to the agency’s financial health. If the place is slow (ie no new accounts, slowing existing accounts, etc.), the first thing agencies do is look at expenses. Salary increases are often first in line. All this is to say that don’t automatically assume it’s the fault of your direct managers dragging feet; sometimes there are larger forces at work beyond your individual sitch. I’d ask boss lady if the delay is agencywide or exclusive to you. A good manager will give it to you straight.
I’ve been payed back pay after a promotion and raise BTW. But I had to wait for the next quarter, not 7 months.
Good luck! We're rooting for you
It’s not a promotion if it’s not accompanied by a change in compensation. Then all they did was give you 6 letters (s e n i o r). Leave.
Hang in there. If you generally like the environment, your colleagues and work, try to sort things out. Get things in writing, be gently persistent, but also recognize the current climate. It’s not ideal. The people making these decisions have a lot to deal with.
Completely lopsided deal. They are billing you at a higher rate. They’re making more money from your promotion. You should be too.
1) It is often reallllly difficult for your manager to get approval for a raise when it's "off-cycle" depending on who's on top, like a big conglomerate parent company and depending on the timeline, is sometimes worth waiting.
2) Being recently promoted, #1 is invalid and you deserve to be paid more if they're being paid more for your time. In that case, you should get a bump with your promotion and still get an "on-cycle" raise at review time.
3) Find out the process for raises and why it's impeding "now," and when "now" might be. Then decide with all the information whether you'll be treated fairly here or not (probably not) so you're confident in your decision.
Get back pay. If they don’t apologize for doing that to you. Take the fat check and leave.
Time to bounce or get it in writing with guaranteed back pay
Good luck!! 💪🏻

Back pay assumes OP was promised and entitled to a raise immediately upon his/her promotion. OP, we’re you promised that and they are just late on their promise? Do all promotions of your sort always come with a raise at your agency? They don’t always at mine, given other surrounding financial circumstances (as other posters have pointed out) - though of course it would always be awesome to get more dollaz $. And there’s nothing wrong with making a case for what you’re worth
Being promised something that doesn’t come is different than just wanting/hoping - and even feeling deserving - of something that hasn’t come YET. I needed that reminder a few times before. Best of luck
