I got rejected for an associate position after went through all rounds of interview a couple of months ago. At the same time, I also applied for senior associate position in the same group. Today, I received an email asking my availability for screening interview for the senior position. I never had this experience before so am trying to understand what to do in this situation.

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

The check in line was going ridiculously slowly and at some point turned threw my hands up in frustration while looking around to find another place to check in. In doing so, I catch the eye of the behind me. He smiles and says something. I just sort of nod and carry on with my call. After that, he keeps trying to talk to me, eventually I got to the check, say bye and leave. At security… tbc

I am starting a new role with a new company and will have 6 direct reports. Although I have managed teams before in a consulting project setting, this will be the first time in industry. Any recommendations on how to sharpen my management skills (books, blogs, etc). Particularly looking at how to delegate effectively and practical examples on how to run day to day.

Discussion post: I feel almost all consulting firms are the same. Mbb, big 4 etc. if you are paid enough there is probably less wlb. If there is good wlb there is not much money. Can you single out a company that you can confidently say pays very well and also has good wlb and also has good opportunities etc.?
