Well of course you don't want to do implementation- it's long days and tedious, boring work... BUT it's a great way to learn.
At 1 YOE, you'd be coming in as a demo engineer, which isn't that great of a position.
In my opinion, the best career path is to stay in implementation for another year or two. You'll learn more and you don't look like a job hopper. Most importantly, there are very different expectations for experienced goes than new grad hires in terms of knowledge base, communication skills, and general professionalism... at 1 year into your career, navigating that will very likely eat you alive.
S2, I'm not trying to be negative about the position. I just think that a career switch at 1 YOE would either see OP stuck in technical, behind- the- scenes work - the exact work OP is looking to leave behind - or put OP in a position to fail. It would be best for now to seek out client facing opportunities in design, strategy, etc at their current firm they've built a rapport with - OP would have less career risk and more coaching this way.
Hi OP, I am actually looking into the consulting partner program with SF and was wondering if you would be willing to give me some info?? I can dm you
