My principal approached me in the car pick up line on Friday to inform me that I’ve taken to many days off & school has just started. I took 1day off when my daughter tested positive for Covid, I had an doctor’s appt that had been scheduled 6 months ago to see the hematologist. Being that I’m anemic, current labs showed I need to have 2 iron infusions. I put in for 2 more days off to have that done. He told me in the future to wait until a work day! We done have any until December!!

Anyone else feel stuck? I know some of it is Covid but I feel like I take one step forward and two steps back. I just can't get anything to move forward. I had a rough break up, stuck in my job, can't leave the country, no hope that anything will change in the near future.
What type of self help strategies do individuals actually find helpful when you feel burn out or stuck in a rut? Any books, apps, meditation, podcasts, etc, others find helpful? I've done therapy and it has definitely helped this past year with covid and a marriage separation, starting to feel like I'm making progress and want to keep up the momentum. Looking to see what type of self help others find actually beneficial and would love to use that to help others stuck in burn out too

My apt building just told us only 1 of 2 elevators will be functioning for the next 46 weeks. My lease ends in April 2022. Can I use this as a leverage point to try and keep my current Covid rent price on my apt? Huge inconvenience

Is there anyone else out there who keeps getting ghosted by agencies after interviewing for jobs? I've been applying to jobs for months. I've constantly been changing my approach and techniques. Yet I keep getting ghosted by agencies - sometimes even after I reach out asking for an update. I guess I just gotta assume that my acceptance email got lost and move on. 😂
Hi there I had an interview with EY yesterday. Interview went well & the interviewer gave me the positive feedback for Senior Business Intelligence Analyst post. I need to know if I’ve pigeon-holed myself. I have an undergrad in music business, and got a lot of good experience then. Worked in live events for 4 years before returning to law school, intending to practice in entertainment law (specifically music). Got a summer internship at a boutique entertainment firm, but no offer due to the small market. Moved to a larger market, but I’m not in one of the “hotspots”. I’m in-house currently, and have moved up quickly. (Cont.)

Has anyone been offered a status buy-up for 2021. ~$1700 short of United 1k this year and think my travel will increase a good bit starting next year. Think it could make sense, especially given the 2021 thresholds

I’m all about that work from home life. However it is insulting and unprofessional when a colleague who is in the office blows off a scheduled meeting with you when you are virtual as they bumped into another colleague in the office. Anyone else noticing issues like this now that we are in this hybrid mode. How do you address it?
