OP, it’s best to work through this with professional help. Part of the issue may be fears/insecurities from your childhood that cause negative thought processes.

Op — the upbringing you had I’m sure has taught you important skills ( ability to communicate with all people , empathy etc ). It’s a positive so don’t turn it into a negative just because many people come from a more privileged background .

First commenter already mentioned the professional help. You don’t need a psychiatrist, start with someone like a LICSW or LMHC (depending on state and access). They can’t provide a space and forum for you to speak openly about your concerns. One thing I wanted to highlight is that you appear to be doing very well for yourself given your more modest upbringing. You have a good job at a competitive company, meaning you must be bright and excelled in school. You are able to find relationships which means people find you desirable and likable. Sometimes we all just get in our way. Try to do yourself a favor and consider your successes in life, too!
