Any advice on how to approach your Google manager about turning your role into 60% part-time (3 days/week)? I know there is business need for role, so would be hit to the team, but I’m feeling burn out hard and don’t see how I can last much longer. Figure it would be better to go part time than leave altogether, but can’t really say that to my manager. Any way to explore this without blowing everything up?

I had an interview today in Fairfax Virginia for an assistant real estate position for CBRE the offer was 70,000. I negotiated 80,000 due to my current role providing insurance and they were not and that would depreciate my pay 10-15 percent . I declined the offer as they were not budging in the offer. I can say that I feel confident in my stance of walking away and for once not having to work up to what my worth is.
What is AD salary at Beigene?
Set your current salary at the top of the range she told you. E.g. „Right now I am already making X, and I would expect a salary increase to consider leaving my current job“. See how she responds to that.
I’ve seen some posts from recruiters (the main one was from Amazon) on LinkedIn that say that asking for the top of the range makes them annoyed/mad because that’s “the most you can make for that position” once you have “experience” in that position at that company. I personally think that’s kind of bs because when I’m negotiating a salary, why would I care what I could be making in 5 years? Don’t put it on the table if you’re not willing to give it, you know what I mean? Anyway, that aside- I think with the right reasoning, agreed to ask for the top of the range. Why not- worst case they say no.
