How long is a feasible time to reach out to HR regarding job interview outcome i.e. if you proceed to next stage?
HI Team 👋🏽 is anyone (non-public sector) actively hiring right now? Have multiple degrees from what are considered “elite” schools, 5 years work experience, a strong can-do attitude, and ability to learn fast. Currently in public sector consulting but am not finding it value/skill aligned. Thanks!
I had 60 day late payment of 35 bucks in Jan. It was new Amex Hilton card I opened for stupid points. It was reported and my credit score had been consistently dropping from last 6 months. It was 780 and now is 735. I realized this 3 months and been paying my credit card bills immediately. Infact I have overpaid each card to have negative balance so my credit utilization is almost zero. What else I can do to repair the damage. I am applying for homeloan and this is big issue to get best rate
I just got a great offer: my preferred role, company, and compensation all match what I really want. My only concern is moving during this COVID environment. What're your thoughts on this?
Tech consulting manager: looking to exit Big 4. Any thoughts? Need an industry position that pays absolutely no less than $169,234. 🤔
Headhunter asked for a resumé.I got slow-tracked for 3 months on my promotion. Will I get questions on why I was slow-tracked? Should I avoid stating how long I held each position at current employer?
Anyone have a peloton? Looking for accountability buddies, and if anyone wants referral credit before I purchase 🚴🏾♀️
Why do Big 4 firms view their competition for talent as other Big 4 firms? Shouldn’t they be looking at what the general market for exit options are doing when evaluating how to stay competitive and not lose employees?
Hi, I have an interview with McKinsey coming up as a generalist, any tips on what I should prepare for going in?
I interviewed for a BB during junior year, and declined an offer to a BB. A recruiter at the firm that I declined reached out to me. Will it negatively impact me, seriously thinking about a switch.
Salaams all, I’ve been getting more religious over the last few years. I’m thinking of not shaking hands with opposite gender... I do this at the mosque & other settings with Muslims. Thoughts?
I accepted an offer for a reputed firm and realized there is no mention of severance in the offer letter in the event they decide to end the employment. It is normal for firms to not offer severance?
What have been some of your best interview experiences? How to make candidates feel welcome? I am in charge of facilitating final round interviews in my office and making sure they go smoothly.
Does anyone have a good book or resource on small business retirement plans that also explains the tax implications? Also, an easy tool that compares the options? EG: SEP, Solo 401k, DB plans...
I’ve got an interview for a UI designer position on Tuesday and meeting with the senior developer first. What can I expect from this first round? It’s been so long since I’ve interviewed
Heading to the airport and hoping that Delta has more trouble getting me to the client this week than it did getting me home last week #homeweekplease
Does a direct rollover from a 401k to an ira start the 60day rollover window? Client just rollover money to an ira needs to roll it out.
Raise your hand if, in the very recent past, you've mixed a cocktail at lunch on a Friday and then just kept going. This is becoming a trend and I can't decide if it's a problem or not..
Currently working out of a tech company based in San Francisco — moving over to Washington State and working remotely. Will I need to pay CA state income tax or do I have to officially change the address on my W2 for this to take effect?
My chances of making partner likely <50%. Bonus this year going to be weak. Being offered a really good industry job paying more than I make now. Make the jump now or stay and see what happens?
I have a layover of about 5 hours at Amsterdam. Flying with KLM from USA to India. Any idea if I need a transit visa? Thanks folks!
If you left a high paying job to get an MBA, did the decision pay off for you? Just want to hear everyone’s thoughts, considering you could have been making consulting money in those 2 years
I wish immigration was not an issue. Have been interviewing nonstop and had pretty good interviews at that. Lost so many cause of H1B. Many , am sure there were people better than me , so I lost those rounds. There is so much you can do with your career at US. Take risks with firms and roles, learn more, apply ambitiously, take a break, not settle down for the first role you get cause you are desperate to find a job within the grace period. I am not looking for pity but I wish..
