Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Did you send a “Thank You” email to the recruiter? If not, that is a good opportunity to re-engaged with them and ask about the next steps in the interview process.
That’s good! I would say send them another follow up email asking about any feedback or progress in their search. Also, I would give them a little more time, I find recruiters often over estimate how quickly they will get back to you.
Literally send an email to ask if there's an update. If you follow up a few times for a few weeks and nothing becomes of it, move on. Also, there's no such thing as a dream job. Dangerous idea that just psyches people up and sets up unrealistic expectations. There is more than one great job out there for you. Don't hold on to a dream job idea.
