I had an interview today and the hiring manager mentioned how he thinks I should be more in a creative field but understands why I’m in the corporate world ($ lol). I cannot shake this off - we talked for 40 minutes and he knows I’m a creative hiding behind data. Does ya girl need to quit corporate America and become an artist like 5 year old me wanted? Joe Biden couldn’t relieve me of my debt to even seriously consider this 😂

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

How do you advocate for a "level" promotion in a company that has vague unofficial descriptions of levels? I'm doing L4-5 (on standard levels, or L3 within our system) work but can't get away from the unofficial "L2".

Making 140k with 7 yrs experience in this role, and 12 prior years experience in Systems Engineering roles. I know someone on my team is at 180k with a similar career.
