McKinsey & Company Has Mckinsey met BA headcount quota for the year/did they freeze hiring? I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but havenāt heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I wouldāve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.š„² McKinsey & Company

My recruiter for PepsiCo was like "ok if you're looking for 150k then CPG is prob not an industry for you" š¤£ this was for a strategy projects manager role
I've heard this too many times
What position/level did you interview for? I was offered 165k base at senior manager level
Worked with Comp and Ben and can confirm.
But definitely proceed, I was told I can only get 140-150k, but they offered me 165k on the spot after I received the offer

Sounds a bit far apart. To get to the 145 itās like you have to start at 155. 112 to 155 would be quite a counter. But what do I know.
Unrelated, but anyone know whatās above āsales district leaderā for PepsiCo?
Above SDL is Director of Sales. TC 250k
What other comp did they have besides salary?
Yeahhh itās gonna be a no from me than dog
You did good OPšš»
I wouldāve continued thru the interview process. Iāve been offered more then what the recruiter told me during the screening.
Keep going because it is good interview practice. If they don't offer what you want upon passing interviews, you can always decline. If you don't get the offer, then the salary is irrelevant anyway.
Assoc Manager caps at around 130k TC. You can probably get them to bump it there and negotiate a sign on of 20k. Also, blow it out the first year and get promoted to M to get to 150k.
I got a director offer for 185k - I did a hard pass
Yeah but still a significant pay cut - tc wouldnāt come close to my current package
