How do you guys celebrate your bdays? Turning 35, don’t have friends nearby as I have been moving with husband since I was 25. Have a 3yo, so just 3 of us are a tight family. I want to feel good and do something that might be really nice and celebratory. Usually we get a cake and cut it between the three of us. It’s also on Christmas Day which is complex as not many things are open outside and want to celebrate Christmas home with my LO.

Ladies who use the steamer bags for cleaning pumps… what’s your process? You have to still clean with soap and water beforehand? The bag is so hot you need to use mittens? Trying to figure out the easiest way to clean in office without making a scene. Something about the wipes makes me feel like I’d still need to rinse it. Thank goodness I roll off this week. My question is, how do I get my LO to sleep until 6 or later? He goes to daycare all day, eats well and naps twice (1st nap around 9 for 1 hour and second nap around 2 cont.

Not sure if anyone has experience with this but figured I’d ask. My 8yo daughter has been gaining weight over the last 2 years. Started during covid being home a lot and I guess eating more than normal. Schedules now are back to normal and she’s still gaining. I’ve gotten rid of all unhealthy food in the house but she will eat a lot of everything, always wants seconds and very hard to control. I don’t know what to do. Is it too early for a nutritionist?

Husband is doing well in his career, my son is thriving in school...Im still struggling to find a work place that i like. For 1-year-old kids, would daycare or nanny a better option? First time parents here.

We really like the social aspects of daycare, since we don’t have many friends with kids here and our family lives in Europe. However, sending the kid to school everyday can be inconvenient. We are willing to do that if our kid enjoys the social activities and learnings from daycare.

We find the good daycare can cost as much as full time nanny for 5 days / week, so cost may not be a huge differentiator here.

What are some resources on child development? I'm a first time mom and really can't tell if I'm doing enough to be sure she's learning what she needs to learn via play, activities, books, etc. at 16 months.
