I had my annual physical today and expect to get the results soon. The technicians of course won’t interpret what they are seeing, but I was able to see the read out from my EKG: sinus bradycardia and an otherwise normal EKG. I, of course, googled it immediately and it looks like it’s fine, but perhaps something to keep an eye on. I was feeling so smug about my low heartbeat (51 bpm, 50 yo female, long term mediocre runner), but it might be TOO low? Anyone else have this?

Just out of curiosity. How low does your HR get when you sleep?

About the same - low 50s. Last night, it was at 50.

You must have a very efficient heart. Do you also have low blood pressure? Less than 100/60?

I know I’ve always been told I had very good BP, but I don’t remember the actual number. I’ll look when I get the full test results.

How do you all navigate that time of night when you hit a wall because you haven’t been drinking, but you’re friends are staying out? I’ve just been going home. But I’m in my mid 20s, and feel like I’m missing out on some friend bonding time. I suppose the answer is to just bond at different times of the day, and revolve my relationships around non going out environments.

Hello all
I am a biology graduate. I worked in cancer research and development for more than two years. Recently moved to Canada, and now I'm wanting to transition into clinical research.
Most jobs I find online ask for atleast 2 years clinical experience.
Does anyone have any tips on how to procure this experience? Should I invest in a course? Or should I volunteer at a CRO?
I recently got offered a clinical admin position, would this count as clinical exp?
Thanks

I have never gone to the gym or really worked out, and want to make a change in my life to start exercising. I'm not sure how to handle post-workout showering though.

First time growing out hair and it's coarse/wavy/dry so it takes days for oils to distribute (so oily scalp) due to pushing off washing -- when I do wash, I shampoo only the scalp and will conditioner the rest of my hair. I'm afraid of overwashing, but if I don't wash my hair after I sweat, it will frizz and poof up. Any advice?
