I had two separate interviews these past two weeks. The first one I really connected with the interviewers and felt like I hit it out of the park. The second one I didn’t feel I was as prepared for and felt like I totally bombed it. Has anyone else had this experience and still was able to move forward? I feel like I ruined my chances by not having the right answers for the two interviewers in the second interview but I’m trying to be optimistic 😅 is there still hope?

I think that not knowing is far worse than being certain of a “no.” I recommend making yourself feel as though you won’t be moving forward in the process, and continue to move on with other opportunities. That way, if you find yourself still in the running, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. You’ll also have already begun sourcing other opportunities which can help with negotiating. Best of luck to you.

Hey Fishes,

I'm currently working as a financial analyst and looking to switch to strategy & ops roles.

I'm on my notice period and got an offer from a company which is the role I'm looking for. However, they've given only 1 day to respond to the offer. This company is 2nd on my priority list and I got this from a personal connect.

Next week I have an interview with my 1st priority company (but that is interview 1st round).

Is it okay to first accept an offer and then say no & not join?

I had a interview with the technician recruiter at Yelp on 2/22, and an interview with one of the IT managers on 3/8. It’s been a week since my second interview and I haven’t heard anything. It’s for the same role I applied for back in 2019, which I did not get at the time. Should I follow up with an email, or wait a little longer?

As we know that market is going really crazy,
I'm taking up few interviews and requesting packages wrt Market trend. But most of the employers puts up a question like " why do you need this high hike what's the reason , etc etc".. yet i asked a reasonable amount as per my package (80% hike- falls within 24 lpa ).

Hi All, recently I gave tests of a company (2 weeks back). Tests went okay. Quant i could not answer a some of the answers, but remaining two tests (one on ML, one on reasoning) i am sure I got almost every question right. I have not heard back from them yet. Yesterday the head of analytics of that company visited my LinkedIn profile. I wanted to check if i should approach him on LinkedIn and if yes, how should I do it? What shall I message him?

Or is it better to wait?

Hi Everyone,

I need some advice, I left Infosys on 27th Jan, I had an offer from Accenture to join them on 28th Jan. However just on my last working day itself, I got an offer from wabtec, it's not a service based org, so I thought I should give it a go. However their DOJ is on 14th feb. They have to complete BGV.
Now the only other offer I have is from TCS to join them on 2nd Feb, I'm a bit scared as to is it a good idea to say no to tcs and stay unemployed in pursuit of working with wabtec?

Should I reapply to a job that was just reposted?

"Unfortunately, we’ve decided to go in another direction at this time. However, if things change, we’ll be sure to reach back out."

A recruiter reached out to me yesterday for the same exact role. I've since added a few skills to my resume (even though I was a perfect match skill-wise the first time).
