Feeling stuck in my big law job on my current team in Minneapolis. I’m thinking of asking to transfer to Chicago to change up my scenery and to get additional exposure to other teams in the firm and just other people generally. Feel super lonely and wondering if it’s the Minnesota Ice or something else… anyone transfer offices before? Or work in Chicago? Would a move make sense?

I'm young (28yrs old) and I just got a new job, and I'm now making almost 2x more than my friend group and they always have a comment about how much I make saying "I'm rich now.. etc. etc" (which I'm clearly not) and at first I would chuckle and shake it off but now its starting to get to me a bit because I've earned my salary through my experience and I don't know how to confront them about how its making me a bit uncomfortable to be around them because of their comments.
