First they came for the challengers, then they came for the M series, and then AMGs etc. etc. until everything that has some semblance of soul is well into six/seven figures or straight up doesn’t exist anymore
Guys, respectfully, I know that change is hard, and I’m fine with anti-EV rhetoric. I just ask that you stick to facts that can be verified with credible sources.
Me too. In fact I hate cars altogether. I yearn to go back to the days of carriages. Now they had some real horse power in them
A bone stock Tesla model 3 beat every single BMW at my car club autocross. You just can’t compete with EVs when it comes to performance. Times are changing
But you can compete with driving over a mountain or through any multiple western states or just driving for a whole day.

Whatever, zoomer.
I like the performance aspects but hate the battery life. In performance driving you're lucky to run 15 minutes before the battery levels force a power reduction and recharge. They aren't practical for driving vacations as the range and recharge time force the driver to plan in multi hour recharge stops vs the time to pump gas. And in truly hot climates, if you can't keep the car on a charger constantly the batteries get run down by the automatic systems running the vehicle to keep the electronics and batteries from overheating. Multiple friends in AZ have sold their EVs over this last one.
Huh? It looks like you’ve been fed a lot of Big Oil propaganda. You can recharge about 200 miles in 20 minutes in most EVs today. And superchargers are everywhere now.
SD1. All of my comments are based on actual observations at the track for performance and on comments from close friends for the difficulties with charging and heat. Not every work location has chargers and recent studies show that a large percentage of the mapped rapid charges are inoperable at any given time. You could also look up some of the recent automotive trade magazine articles where editors tried to road trip with an EV and the actual time spent at charging stations vs the estimated times. The ones where they tried to tow something with an EV truck are even more depressing with the trucks going less than 100 miles before needing to recharge.
SD1. Never less than 100 miles at a time
That range isnt enough for a round trip to the nearest lake big enough for a ski boat. When I do have the trailer hooked up it's usually 300 to 700 miles of towing that day usually with between 10 - 13,000 lbs of trailer and contents. My lifestyle with a working ranch and actual race cars isnt typical for consulting though.
Try finding a stick shift sitting in a showroom or lot. Even 10 yrs ago it was tough.
Similar will happen to large displacement ICE, but quicker
