Does anyone have any recs for competitive workout/spin classes? I’ve gone to Barry’s, OT, fhitting room, Rumble, and some other spin classes and they’re all a little too tailored to the avg person who doesn’t workout very often. I’m 30m and have been working out every day since hs and whenever I go to a workout class I’m either actively ignored by the instructor who is more focused on helping ppl who don’t typically workout (understandably) or made to feel bad for working out too hard

I’m an IP associate (focused mainly on trademarks) in an AMLaw 200 firm (slightly below NY market pay) and I’m curious to know what IP groups (mainly trademark related practices) at V50 firms are like. My practice is relatively chill. No major fires to put out - steady and predictable 8-9 billable hours a day. I can generally not work on weekends. Am I at a unicorn shop or is this normal for Trademark practices?

For those that live in a house, how often do you use your dining area? Planning to buy a house, but the dining area is in between the living space and kitchen island (open floor concept). I don’t envision using a dining table even though it would be nice to have but even if I did I wouldn’t use it...thoughts?

It’s widely documented that ethnic minorities are (unfairly) overrepresented in the justice system.

So why do agencies increasingly require background criminal checks before employing people, even for freelance. This seems like yet another barrier to entry. I am a white female and I consider myself lucky that I don’t have anything to worry about when I apply for a job, but I am starting to realize that’s just my privilege.

I think I’m on the verge of burnout. I was definitely burned out at my previous agency, recently started at a new one and the energizing newness has worn off. I’m in another cycle of tight deadlines, lackluster guidance/management, understaffing, overloading and more. My confidence is low & my quality of work is taking a hit due to these circumstances and I fear my job is in jeopardy due to what feels like no fault of my own but the all due to the circumstances. Any tips or encouraging words?
