Hey fish fam, I have an SO who is a special education teacher trying to get out of the classroom but not having any luck. I really want to help her out because I know that she loves teaching, but it is making her miserable. Anyone know of specific consulting firms or Ed tech companies that are hiring educators? Bonus points if you know if any specific job openings that you could point me to. Thanks in advance for the help! Deloitte EY Pearson Mcgraw-Hill Education

Why don't you learn how to write a script to do the excel copying, show your team you automated it and ask for additional responsibility?
Macro your job and then plan vacations you'll never take
...I never said that. But if the task OP is describing in his post is as simple as it sounds, then that's a quick 15 minute script if you know what you're doing or a week at most of you don't and will google everything.
Sounds like you're at the bottom of the totem pole
@P1, I actually did this. That's why I'm in S& while the bean counters are looking up from MC-land
How long have you been at the firm? Project? Can you talk to the PM? Career Counselor? It might be good to use that downtime to build some solid tech knowledge.
If you are young just go startup. You can tolerate risk. You'll learn more too.
I think what A1 is describing is a pretty fucked up logic... why don't you write a script and then never go to work and have a program to do everything for yourself if you are so talented? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
In the same position too... assuming you're EY, op? The seniors on the project would rather us sit there doing nothing rather than letting us pursue initiatives outside of the project. A few people told me to go to HR because I'm truly unhappy about my job.
^lol. What on earth do you think HR is going to do for you
@C1 how did you figure out I'm EY? Is this a like a firm culture? I'm fairly new to the firm and this is my 2nd project.
@OP it's obvious and I'm not sure if it's the culture but there's definitely a lot of people with @EY 1's attitude and view. Honestly, it's no one's fault and I think it's amazing we feel this way and we recognize we as humans are not growing.
