I hate take home cases - I never know what they’re looking for! Always super vague

My girlfriend is a masters student at a top tier target school and offered for me to join in to this career insights meeting where prospectives can ask IBers/consultants questions.

Their questions made me realize how green some of them are. The Qs were oriented around conducting social justice in the workplace or environmental activism. Like bruh you do PPT and Excel all day.

I cringe at this attitude towards the workplace by students, anyone else relate or am I being negative?

Hello Fishes,
I submitted the documents 2 weeks back. HR discussed salary last week and told me that I will receive the salary breakup by last week only. Still have not received any update after that.
I have sent the email to HR yesterday asking for the status but no reply yet.
I am worried now.

I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but haven’t heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I would’ve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.🥲 McKinsey & Company

Ugh, just got rejected from a senior level big tech opportunity. 4 month hiring process, multiple rescheduled interview days and no-shows, 10+ interviews in the end, multiple take home assessments, and took 2 days off work for the final round of interviews. Very frustrating and feel like they wasted my time in the end. Just a shambolic interview process in which I felt like a placeholder till they found who they really wanted.
