I hate watching other creatives painfully type feedback onto a presentation slide during internals. Grow up and get a notebook.

As a creative who types wayyyy faster and neater than I write, I feel personally attacked

like

Eh, it’s efficient.

Get a notebook? I type 10 times faster than I write by hand. What if I want to share the notes? Take a picture and email it? Shirley, you jest.

As an AD feedback on specific slides is SO necessary. How am I meant to remember the tiny design tweaks on a 60 page deck otherwise?

Maybe they hate watching you pretend it’s 1975?

You need to catch up.

What!! No! It’s easier to remember the exact feedback

If someone actually took notes and sent them out in a timely manner then they wouldn’t have to.

Lol what a petty thing to say

Okay, my fault for not being clear. I’m not mad at typing notes, I’m mad at typing over a presentation while it is in progress on the presentation screen. Like a slide is on the screen and everyone is watching you type “beat this headline” and “change this image” on the meeting display, in front of everyone, going in and out of presentation mode just so you can take notes? Also, I’m not old I’m young and I type lots of stuff.

like

Ohhhhhhhh... well yes that’s annoying as fuck. It disrupts the flow of the presentation and I especially don’t like it because you’re immediately acquiescing to their demands with no push back.

Taking handwritten notes in this scenario is far superior because you can add all kinds of context that you may not want public.

I type quicker and I'll do notes off to the side so it doesn't bug anyone. Notebooks are for my ideas, not notes. Thanks.

Haha

This was actually a thing...

It’s the new wall.

Unless the review is being done with people remotely, I never give anyone the link to my presentation before I show it. I only send the link after. This dramatically cuts down on nitpicky feedback, plus it prevents others from skipping ahead and forming opinions before you had a chance to properly explain the work.

Hi friends! I know mental health is very private but wondering if anyone on here has been diagnosed bipolar and would be willing to speak to me? Best friend has been diagnosed and is swinging very fast between manic & depressive states while their doctors find the right balance of medication & therapy. Want to understand how I can best support especially in the extreme lows where they have darker thoughts & feel very confused about “why” this is happening. Would appreciate any help at all!

Does Big4 hire ACCA individuals from international countries (they will not need visa sponsorship and would be legally authorized to work in USA).

Just filed a formal complaint with HR about my boss bullying me... am not hopeful, but curious to see where it leads. Lesson to everyone: always build up a reserve of FU money in the bank!
