I hate WFH. I can't focus, my dog is so damn cute, and I rather eat at home. My bosses haven't caught on yet but since March 2020, I've only been working 1 day every 2 weeks. Nothing is outstanding and no deadlines have been missed at least 😶

Anyone else WFH and simply feel like they work and then migrate to the couch and that’s the majority of their day? I feel so bored. What do you do to pass the time at home during Covid?

I am trying to work through some career/relationship questions, which have a few different components and I am hoping for some neutral third-party advice and thought maybe some of you ladies may be able to help. How has everyone met their partners here? Tinder/Grindr etc are total meat markets and I haven’t had much success besides getting laid. I moved 1500 miles away in March and I switched jobs in August (fully remote still). I’m having a really hard time meeting high quality guys and it’s really getting to me. Does anyone have any advice that doesn’t involve going to a bar? I get really bad social anxiety at times and would prefer to husband shop elsewhere.

Approved by doctor/HR to remain remote and it’s not going over well( we were told we would remain remote, which included giving up our desks, but are now being asked to come in two days). The person who seemed the most annoyed by my request is my direct boss. I found it odd because she announced she was only doing one day because she was pregnant and the director was basically like “ok”. I don’t want to put a target on my back and I do enjoy the work. Should I just bite the bullet and come in?

Wardrobe Advise Needed! I’m new to the consulting world coming from tech as direct admit PPMD. Female, mostly work from home, although I plan to go into the office 1-2x per week plus coffee/drink networking with colleagues and clients. Tech is casual and I typically wear jeans with a nice top, sometimes blazer, and boots/heels. Based on what I’ve seen in Fishbowl (taking this all with a grain of salt) I may need to step it up. I need help! Between an early fintech startup or Amazon, which would you choose to work for as a tech recruiter? Startup seems stable/profitable but will come with vastly different challenges. Base pay is the same, both remote. I prefer to have a friendly/social environment with a lot of collaboration while still having freedom/autonomy over my own schedule. I hear a lot of mixed things about Amazon but like the idea of the mentorship and structure (but don’t want the micro management/kpi’s)
