Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?

Conflict of interest and ethical standards are your biggest concerns. You can get fired. Check with your current employer. The vendor may also be in violation of their contract with your current employer.
In a heavily regulated industry, outside employment may prevent current employers to participate in federal programs.
This is competing directly with your current employer, depending on your working relationship (contract, FT, position, etc) they might also be able to go after you for damages
Wouldn’t that clash of benefit with your current employer ? I would say read your contract with your current employment and clarify with them to see if you can work contractual work outside your employment. Since this client is via your employer.
Not many companies take moonlighting very lightly.
And for the rate I will say check out upwork and see what freelancers are charging and based on that quote an hourly rate on the higher end of the range you will find out at upwork.

M1 is spot on. My employment agreement specifically says I cannot hold other employment elsewhere because of conflict of interest as well as ownership of intellectual property. In a heavily regulated industry, outside employment can prevent current employers from participating in federal programs.
Depends entirely on your employment contract with your current employer. I’m certainly not recommending that you ask HR directly, but approach them for a copy of the contract if you need to.
