I have taught through various museums for many years and been a sub teacher the past two years. I have applied to get an alternative license for teaching science in middle/high school levels. I have recently been asked to interview for a local high school. My questions are, if you were the interviewer, what would you be looking for, and what questions should I expect/should I ask.

Just had an amazing interview but why does it take 3 weeks for a decision then another month for the background check 😭

It sucks because I’m unemployed and realistically can’t wait that long. If I’m offered another job before then I’ll have to accept it.

With interest rates rising, am I better off paying off over paying my fixed term mortgage or investing over the next 4-5 years?
Mortgage rate is fixed for 5 years at a fairly low 1.99%. I could plough in extra cash to reduce overall interest over the years.
If I were to invest, I’d probably hold in cash for a few months and get into a regular investment in the market towards end of the year.
