I'm scheduled to complete my initial screening call
at Facebook (Meta), for a technical solutions
consultant role. Can anyone give me insight
regarding how to prepare for the interview? There
isn't much on Glassdoor in regard to this role. Also,
do you think they'll allow me to work remotely? I
really don't care to relocate (just signed a new
lease). Lastly, I have 2 YOE, what's the expected
TC? Thanks!
I work as a TPM for a bank and my aim is to find myself in a product company( currently on a consultants payroll) . I have over 13 yrs of experience in IT and been working as TPM for the last 1.5 yrs. I tried to interview with Amazon 6 months back and failed in the loop. They say per my experience, I qualify for L6 but they felt I had not worked in large projects like they expected. I know for sure this is something about how I portray my experience. How do I get coached to showcase my skills?Amazon

And even if they offer you a job they will terribly low ball you on salary and designation..I would suggest you get your i140 first..
..less time on their visa. This is scaring me because I really need to switch. Am miserable at my current workplace and want to switch. I have some interviews also lined up, but I read about companies saying no, even after extending a job offer initially. That is so strange. Which firms do you think will still consider extending me an offer and going through with it? Any insights, based on your (or someone you know) experience would be helpful. Thank You!
Sorry for u..but put your head down and get that I140.
OP - You got couple of options
1) assuming you have 2 years left out of 6 years of h1-b, I would suggest to hang in there unless you are on the verge of getting fired.. even if you find a job offer new employer won’t be able to get extension beyond 2 years as you don’t have approved LCA for perm. My understanding is to file an extension on i-140 you need to have approved perm LCA atleast 12 months prior to filing an extension. So if you move to new company you are running against the time as new company won’t start GC immediately unless the company desperately needs you
2) Opt for desi consulting, there are some legit desi consulting firms who will pickup your h1-b specially if you are in NYC, CHICAGO or BAY area
