I have 3 interviews for Booth Civic Scholars, 1 MBA interview and 2 with Faculty Directors. Is this normal?

I’m a first year associate. I am hopefully getting sworn in within 2 weeks. Is it too soon to engage with recruiters and start looking for a new role?

Any tips on how to network for job opportunities? Whenever I ask how to network, all I’m told is to do informational interviews but I don’t know how to bridge the gap from a one-time meeting to a job.

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud… I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. Additionally I’ve had a couple interviews where company “X” interviewers have commented on this and in an effort to not bad mouth my previous employer I’m stuck with a generic answer like I want to take my career to the next level with Company “X.” Any thoughts/advice?

I thought reference is a call asking me things and find out if I would work with this person again - if so, the answer is yes.

I interviewed for a role about 6wks ago. Didn’t hear back after following up. Email from recruiter Monday saying no new developments yet, but hows my search going? Is this a good sign?

I am a project manager with the strong desire to transition into product management but I’m feeling a little discouraged. Every opportunity I come across mentions 7-10 years experience. I just started training for the Google UX certification with hopes that may better prepare me. Any other suggestions? Words of advice on how to best make this transition?

I'm interviewing for a Sr. Accountant role in SEC reporting that focuses on M&A at an RNG company. What questions should I expect to nail the interview given that I have no experience in M&A? I have reporting experience in both public and industry.

What kind of Masters program would you recommend for someone hoping to make it into a senior leadership/executive role in Comms/PR? I have over 6 yrs of experience in Comms in public/private sector. However, I haven't had any formal education in Comms/Journalism which I have felt always put me at a disadvantage. My question is, is there an advantage of doing a Masters to improve my chances of getting into a leadership role? If so, would an MBA be better than a Masters in PR/Comms?

Advice: how to manage a reapplication as a R3 applicant who was waitlisted and finally dinged last week. I want to apply R1 to the same school (feel like this shows commitment) and I have an improved GRE score but otherwise not much in my profile has materially changed since it’s only been 3-4 months since I last applied... I will have 1 different recommender and 1 of 2 essays will be revamped. How else should I approach this? Anything I’m missing?
