This doesn’t seem significantly higher than PA senior salary

Seems okay if the benefits are fantastic.

I make close to that, 3 years in Public in Dallas. I wouldn't settle below 85k at the least.

I’m located in Houston. That’s similar to S2 PA salary. The bonus might be a couple points higher, but I wouldn’t settle for that amount based on the facts given of title and momentary comp.

If it has opportunities for growth within the firm and there is legitimate work-life balance then it might be worth it for you, depending on what you want. If it demands long hours and you don’t anticipate promotions happening for several years then maybe working in PA would be better for your career growth.

Thanks for the feedback. It is a big real estate investment company. Great firm but will not budge on salary negotiation.

Honestly it’s decent. For a low hour requirement, it’s okay. It’s not outstanding, but a solid exit if experience is where you want it at as well.

Imagine Dallas is same COL. Strong seniors in industry pull 80-90K

I had a 1st round interview last week and I didn’t love the sound of the job. It’s in higher ed. It would also be a 20k pay cut (105 -> 85). They want to do a final round with me this week. During the interview, the director who would be my manager said they are understaffed and very busy. She also said someone in this role needs to love working. I don’t necessarily want to transition to another busy place for a pay cut. The only perk I see is the time off university staff get and tuition...comt

I joined D's Workday practice as a C and been here ~8 months. I'm getting an offer from a lesser known practice with a 66% increase and a promo to SC. I currently love my job and team. The only motivation to jump is the money. If i stayed at D i'd prob get promoted next year and yet it wont match the salary i'm getting offered today. The money would allow me to reach my goals a lot faster, but is right to move just for the money? I know the work at the other firm will be less interesting.

Anyone from Dallas on here? What's the ad scene like there? Anyone hiring?

I think I asked for too low of a salary during initial interviews elsewhere. The recruiter never told me the band either. About to go into second round. Is there still a chance to ask for more?

How are folks thinking about permanent life insurance? 45, making let’s say for example (not my exact numbers): $1M per year, not yet vested in pension. Was thinking need to replace the post tax take home, about $550k NPV’ed at 5% to age 55, so that’s like $3.2M. Maybe pension is worth $2.5M so I think that means I should have $5.7 total you want death to have no financial impact. Also was going to do $1M of that in perm w/ LTC rider. Sound right?
