Anybody else over working in the rat race altogether? I’ve jumped around a few times in the last 5 years, improving my comp and aligning more to my strengths and interests, yet I’m still unfulfilled. I’m pretty much doing exactly what the last 20 years of being in consulting has prepared me for: advising clients at the highest levels - and I’m bored. I’d love to leave and take up a more creative job, but of course, that doesn’t pay the bills - anybody think of, or actually made that transition?
I can’t seem to “close the loop” when it comes to getting job offers. It seems I’m able to get interviews and perform well enough to be invited back for additional interviews but either I never hear back in the end or get the dreaded “thank you for applying” email. How can I break this weird barrier!? For context, I am applying to in-house roles from a law firm background. Midlevel.
Had a coworker scramble after a Covid-19 related school closure in Seattle today -- those of us with kids, make sure you have a plan + contact in place for your kids if their schools close!
Expected salary as embedded software engineer with 5 years of experience in Glarus? Any tips?

Does anyone else have crippling pre-review anxiety? I am usually chill but reviews kill me for weeks in advance. I fluctuate from optimism to certainty I will be fired & look for clues everywhere.
The last show you watched represents the theme for your classroom this year. What is it?

Hi folks, Planning to join Legato Health Technologies. Is it a good option from learning and internal hike perspective? What is the shift allowance and other perks/benefits?
Hi there! I need some guidance. HR and global leadership rolled out some amazing new initiatives like not starting until 10 am on Mondays, no meeting Fridays and required 2 additional summer days a month. The problem is, my boss refuses to comply with the initiatives. He constantly scheduled meetings before 8 am on Mondays and after 7 pm on Fridays. He also doesn’t let me take time off. Should I go to HR? I’m really not one to complain but I’m tired and extremely burnt out. Thanks for your help!
Epic Steak in San Fran any good?
L4, 140 base, 200RSU, 10 signon, standard 15% bonus for SCE. Good offer for 3YOE? Currently making 230TC, will make ~260 next calendar year. Seems like this would be a pay cut for better WLB
I’m having a bit of sticker shock here as I look at my step son’s and step daughter in laws baby registry. They are asking for a stroller that is $600 an extra seat for it which is $250. It’s been a long time since I shopped for a baby. Am I that much out of touch??Is that normal to pay that much or am I being cheap?? Just wondering.
As an entry level analyst is it better to enroll in the Pre-Tax or Roth 401k ? What are the benefits of each?
Any thoughts on XEBEC? It’s a tool to extend screens on a laptop and thought it could be helpful with travel.
Receiving any negative/constructive feedback scares the sh*t out of me. I had a toxic previous job experience with a manager who used any small thing as a means to scare me out of employment. Now at my new place of employment, if I do get a constructive comment or something to work on, a lot of anxious thoughts run through my mind until I can somehow calm down and go back to working somewhat productively again - but I always have that fear of being fired over it. 😔
