Managing Student Loans - a Q&A

I have 43 in debt (first gen college student) and have been teaching for 10 years. Feels a bit hopeless. Any recommendations on how to get this over with in the next five years?

Check out the Dave Ramsey program. I am following that and plan on paying off the student loan debt in 2 1/2 years

Thanks for your commitment to teaching, and sorry to hear that you’re starting to feel hopeless! Would you mind sharing what types of loans you have (are they Direct loans?) and what type of school you are teaching at?

It would also be helpful to know what type of repayment plan you are in currently.
