I have 5 YOE post bachelors in Finance/Accounting for non profit public university and make 130k (good job security, pension and WLB). I have 1 toddler and 1 infant. I plan to have more children but I feel bad being so focused in my growing my career. I thought about about getting an MBA to further grow my career or work in tech. Is it worth getting an MBA and try jumping into tech or should I stay and get an online MBA?

I would say no to the MBA. Tech has more career options with more flexible. Take it from someone with an MBA who doesn't make 130K

like

Online.

Just interview in tech, they have Finance Manager roles and Business Analysts, you can also target program management or product manager. None will require MBA.

Ask people to refer you!

Where are you located? Do you not have career growth in your current position?

San Francisco. Not in my department. But in my company, there’s a ton. Most senior leadership position will require an MBA though unless I have 10+ YOE.

I would say forget the MBA and go for your CFP.

Hello People,
Looking for advice based on experience. Currently living with in-laws that have come to support us with our first baby. My in-laws and I have had a rocky start to our relationship due to ours being an inter-religion marriage. Many things have been said that I’m neither able to forgive nor forget. I have a very kind husband who understands my sentiments but wants to try to have a cordial relationship with them now for the sake of our baby (and baby’s relationship with grandparents)

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

I recently started my own firm. We primarily do ID. Was fine at first while I got thru pregnancy but now I’m not happy & regret accepting the job and pay. I’m supporting others who are making 3-4times my salary. Hi Everyone,
Any suggestions on networking in the private finance sector?
I recently transitioned from public to private sector finance to be more well-rounded and I’m having a hard time connecting with people in the space. I work for a fund admin in the digital asset space for HF & PE/VC firms and I noticed how much “bro culture” seems to impact the industry. Networking is hard enough working from home but I know how important it is to make those connections.
