I saw a Harvard? study circa 2013ish that said effectively “be most conservative when you retire and get more aggressive as you age”. But can’t find it now. Anyone seen this and know where to find it?
Been doing a lot more 401k biz and want to eventually do that alone. Want to complement the 401k with group DI/group life. Is it possible with smaller companies? What about group life? Any experience?
If I won't be needing health insurance from a full time gig could I ask that be added to my paycheck?
How are folks thinking about permanent life insurance? 45, making let’s say for example (not my exact numbers): $1M per year, not yet vested in pension. Was thinking need to replace the post tax take home, about $550k NPV’ed at 5% to age 55, so that’s like $3.2M. Maybe pension is worth $2.5M so I think that means I should have $5.7 total you want death to have no financial impact. Also was going to do $1M of that in perm w/ LTC rider. Sound right?
My work was very understaffed prior to COVID. I hope the healthcare industry learns from this experience and increases staffing appropriately.
Can we not call it TrumpCare or ObamaCare and just call it the Affordable Care Act like it should have been from day one. Stop playing politics with healthcare. People die from this BS.
What are the top accounts within AFS Healthcare that I should look into for projects? Joining soon within the Data Analytics space as a Consultant. Accenture

Holy cow. Received an offer and the bi-weekly contributions for health insurance is like $150 for one person. Is that normal? Am I missing something? This is a large global company.....why so much
Where can I find a description of the benefits offered by the legal plan? Do we have to use their attorneys? How much of the cost of a will do they cover?
Is LinkedIn helpful? I only see it as a means to showcase one's experience/education background. Am I missing out on its benefits? Not a lot of big agencies post jobs there (atleast in my city) and the recruiters that do reach out have vague, often marketing-related, job offers.
I keep hearing healthcare is a poorly paid industry. What are well paid industries? Cyber seems to be one... what else?

Anyone else care more about getting into a top grad school (ivy- MIT-Stanford) more to please your grandparents and overseas relatives than the career benefits? I feel a weight has been lifted as the eldest sibling
Quite disappointed that Bain ignored “LGBT” term and instead referred it as “special group” during a Greater China pre-MBA info session, when asked whether Bain has LGBT diversity program. Bain changed its logo into Pride on LinkedIn but can’t recognize LGBT? I know it’s China, but expect Bain to be more supportive across the firm globally.
Under normal circumstances (I.e. pre Covid), is it much harder to get sponsored for actually academic courses like MA or MPhil as opposed to MBAs? People might say those are not as relevant as MBAs to business, but MBAs don’t strike me as anything particularly vocational either.
Thoughts on going with Fidelity to get my licenses (63,7) while still a junior in school. I have an offer from Goldman for an internship next summer but I’m leaning towards fidelity because they will pay for my school and I can start making money while still in school. Any advice would be appreciated.
So instead of requiring Zoom. (Re the joke thread) I've imagined that if I *could* I'd sit on Discord all day with Open Mic, and ask my team top pop in to ask questions. Would that be reasonable?
Has anyone been offered a status buy-up for 2021. ~$1700 short of United 1k this year and think my travel will increase a good bit starting next year. Think it could make sense, especially given the 2021 thresholds
What are people hearing at the local levels for spending and tax policy changes due to covid related budget deficits?
I think I asked for too low of a salary during initial interviews elsewhere. The recruiter never told me the band either. About to go into second round. Is there still a chance to ask for more?
Anyone exited to AbbVie? Saw a position of interest but curious about culture and WLB, and how much a referral helps vs. cold applying.
I am H1B and I’ve started my GC process. my husband is also on H1B but won’t get his GC sponsored until his next job. What happens if he has started the GC process but by then his H1B had run out? Can he still work while it’s pending with an application for EAD? Can he work as H4 under my H1B till I get my GC issued?
Has anyone gone from Big 4 to a small no name accounting firm? Are you happy you made the move? Are the decreased hours worth the drop off in resources, client prestige, and technology?
