What’s the timeline for suffering through a role at your new firm before boomeranging back? How do you approach your old manager about returning? We still have a great relationship and there were no hard feelings about me leaving.
Which offer is the best? 7 YOE -Deal Advisory Manager focusing on AAS $140K base in Big4. This will be a boomerang. -Corporate Strategy Mng role in a private company $125K base My priority is WLB and minimal travel but seems like WLB is not really possible in Strategy role but there is possible traveling in Big4 too. So confused.
Recently had an phone interview for an Engineering Position and I was asked what my salary expectations were. I was somewhat caught off-guard and ended up giving a lower number than I should have. I was asked to come in for a 2nd interview today and I'm regretting having given a lower number initially. Is there anyway to recover from this if my interview goes further down the road, or am I stuck at the range I intially provided? Thanks for any input and sorry for thr long question.
Talk to me about your resume. How many pages is it? Do you provide and overview page and then go into more role detail? I’ve received conflicting advice.
How would you go about telling a company you don’t want to do anymore interviews? I was originally told probably two or three, then “one last one”, and now “potentially two more”. In each interview, they talk like I have the role and keep asking how much notice I would need to give as if they’re in a rush to get me in, but then schedule another round of interviews. Honestly the interviews seem more like meet and greets. Cont.
If anyone from Strategy& has a moment, I’d like to chat about an open role and discuss a potential referral. Thanks.

I love watching the pecking over the status of the Big 4. Feels like watching sports and all I need is popcorn. Carry on you lot, you’re doing great work on the threads!
Having 7 YOE to only make 65k with an MBA is the most stressful thing for me, especially at a Big 4. I’ve been trying to get into tech and the recruiters would reach out then are nowhere to be found. I’ve been wanting some assistance but feel like I’m talking to the wrong people.
I've been teaching for 20 years. I'm a little burned out from being in the classroom? This covid thing has made it harder for me to enjoy being in the classroom. I still have 10 + years until I would feel good about retiring. Would you recommend me moving to an admin position?

I just started as a first year associate at a firm that does not have any organized pro bono, however there is an “uncapped” billable hours policy that would allow me to apply pro bono to my hours requirement. How would you suggest I go about getting into pro bono work? It’s my understanding it’s not done much at my firm.

Curious if there are any Director level people in this bowl that managed to exit to an industry (FS) role by applying to a job posting at an organization where they had no relevant connections/referrals. How did you manage to land the exit ? Would appreciate any insights aside from the typical paths of networking your way in, ATS bingo, pain letters, or reaching out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn.
Hi All, On which topics can we expect questions for SAP SD role with 4 YOE in accenture? Please let me know
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones? https://blog.shrm.org/blog/9-interesting-interview-questions-that-actually-reveal-a-lot-about-candidat

Do any other firms have a policy that requires you to return to work for a certain period after paid parental leave, and if you choose to leave you are required to pay it back? If so, is there anyone who decided to leave before the end of that period? What happens if you can’t afford to pay it back?
