Just call in sick to your job
This. Or say you need to work from home that day. Or doctor’s appointment. I personally think it’s unprofessional to do it from the car but not sure if others think that way.

Do everything in your power to not do this - car participation screams disrespect even when not intended.

See if you can grab a conference room. You’ll be more comfortable. I’d say second option, call in sick, third if you do it in the car blur your background and make sure you practice beforehand so you have the computer/device setup in a good way so you’re not fumbling with it.

Park or coffee shop?
Pro
I’d look for a coffee shop. But if you do the interview in your car, use a fake background.
Coffee shops are so loud though.
I conduct virtual interviews all the time. As a hiring manager I would not mind.

I have a manger that hates it.
If it is a big deal to them then I wouldn’t want to work there. People need yo be understanding and flexible. I car about the content of what you say and how you present yourself, not the fact that you had to take the call from your car. Just be parked.

Is there a conference/huddle room you can reserve?
Depends what u do in your current role I guess but pretty easy for me to take a call in a meeting room. People just assume it's a client call.
Do you know what video software you are interviewing on? It’s possible that you can access it early and see if you can do a blurred background and I would recommend headphones to cut out outside sound. I’ve done the car interview before and didn’t feel like it hurt my chances. I was hired at least ! Good luck!
WFH makes interviewing so much easier.
Take lunch break around the call that day.
I’ve hired hundreds of people and I cannot imagine caring where they call in from. Maybe you are in between locations at work or have to take your kid to the doctor. All I would care about is whether you can do the job. But if you can, use a virtual background and make sure you’re somewhere with a good signal.
I just had an interview in my car b/c we’re ITO 3 days/week. She totally understood, a mini talking point and one of a few reasons why I want to work for them where they’re remote first. I have a R2 with the leadership team this week.
