Is it PC to ask my supervisor what the salary range is for my current position? I don't want to leave because of money.
Leaving for Mardi Gras in New Orleans on Friday night but I feel like I’m getting sick. Any suggestions?!?!
I’m about 3 months away from making senior and am seriously considering leaving. Is it true that title doesn’t mean as much as compensation in industry? That’s what recruiters say but they are biased
My boy is just over 1yo. He likes me way more than his mom, excited to see me, upset when I leave, clings more to me when sick or hurt, even knows what to call me but doesn't say mama. Anyone similar?
3rd year at a big firm, within Vault top 60, but in a smaller market with a very high cost of living (I don’t want to say where because it’s identifying). Starting salary is 110k, with 5k raises for each promotion level and bonuses are small, which is on par with market (maybe slightly under). The wrinkle: bigger-market partners farm out work to us at higher rates. Is it unfair US associates are paid differently but we all do the same work? Should I just move to a bigger market?
What is/was your childcare situation for an older infant / toddler? Nanny? Two nannies? Daycare? If daycare, who picks up and drops off? What about when they are sick? Working on weekends?
Anyone knows if consultants in the UK are getting a bonus this year as mentioned last year? I haven't heard anyone talking about it in the past few months, so I guess leadership changed their mind?
Moving from big 4 tech implementation to boutique strategy firm for huge comp increase. Long term goal is mbb. Would this move help or hurt mba admissions and mbb recruitment?
Why is it the comp for a person living in LA always less ( based on my analysis a min of 25-35% variance) than Bay Area .. it is frustrating that I live in OC and could make more if I just moved..
Fellow ladies- what do you typically dress in when going to work or travelling on work? I am seriously sick of in laws passing bad comnents regarding my "work culture" and dressing styles on a regular basis. For any guys reading this- learn to stand up for your wives even though it may be standing up to your parents.
I was asked back for a second interview, but based on timing, I should stay at my current company so I can get my bonus (I'm not at an agency). How do I turn them down without getting blacklisted?
Had a bit of a breakdown today because I am sick and tired of working harder than the other folks. I’m tired of having to save every cent to pay off loans and to save for my wedding and for kids when white friends/counterparts get to go on extravagant vacations and buy nice things. I understand that many of them come from family money, but why do they get to when I don’t? I’m tired. It’s not fair.
Has anyone taken a leave of absence for medical issues? Is it like taking a sabbatical with 20% pay?
Ill get promoted to senior this year, but I need out now I can't do this any more. Will I make substantially more if I wait for the promo and leave two months later or should I just bail
I feel burnt out and it’s only been four months since I started.. ik, ik, it’s pathetic. But I’ve been feeling physically sick and mentally exhausted ever since busy season ended, and it only seems to
For those who were promoted to partner from senior manager at EY - did you still receive your yr end bonus for your last SM yr?
Partners, what types of compensation and benefits do your employees find the most compelling? What are the things they really appreciate? Financial and otherwise.
What's a good amount of points to ask for a shitty experience at a Marriott with management not fixing basic things even in 3 days? They say 20k but I'm wondering if it should be more? Gold elite here
Simple question. Pre-COVID tax revenues were in the toilet... huge deficit. Either party... what’s the plan? Basic math says you cannot make up the tax break given in this administration. Regardless of the party I’m just curious the thoughts even if you disagree with it. Payroll tax retirement affect social security - that won’t work. Only option is cut spending or raise taxes right? What’s a real plan folks can get behind that will work and is not rhetoric.
You may be wondering if any of our COVID-19 containment efforts are making a difference. Current rate is a 29-30% increase daily in US cases. So that’d be 200K+ by the end of MARCH. Let’s do better.
2 YOE at a T2 strategy firm. Would jumping to a MBB boost M7 MBA apps two years down the road? Has anyone does and if yes, what was your story?
