Do you think an MBA in my scenario makes sense?
Currently a L62 at Microsoft as a PM, which is the post MBA level (I have 3 YOE). I have a desire to try out VC investing or ops, and an MBA might open up my doors. However, I’d be giving up a massive opportunity cost (in those 2 years I’d probably make senior pm at msft) and don’t need an MBA for lateral big tech moves. Don’t want to get an MBA and strike out at VC

Consensus these days seems to be that most programs are mostly agnostic between GMAT and GRE. biggest difference at the margins may be that GMAT is more likely to lead to scholarship $ if you crush it, but for most people best advice is to take whichever is a better fit (agree that neither is easier than the other, but they have very different underlying philosophies).
Getting a high score on the GRE isn’t exactly easy either. I studied for months just to get a slightly above average score.
Well a lot of masters programs for science majors want a GRE score and don’t ask for gmat so I don’t see why it would be frowned upon IMO. Especially since you say you have a CS background, it would almost be expected that you take the GRE so you can go for a Masters in CS if you wanted.
