I have a call with a legal recruiter for a trust and estate planning atty position I’m interested in. Aside from taking a class for wills trusts and estates in law school, I don’t have any experience as an attorney in this field but I think I would really enjoy it. Any advice for my call or for trying to go into this area of law? Civil lit experience, almost two years licensed.

Associates at transactional midsize firms - how much bonus do you expect to receive this year? I lateraled to a 40-50 attorney firm and they are killing it this year. Granted I will likely receive a prorated bonus but they are also short on mid and seniors and hoping they give me something good to keep me from leaving (not contemplating that).

Anyone else still getting emails from their old boss 6 months after leaving the job asking for info/strategies/impressions on files they worked on? I left detailed file notes on every case I worked on before I left and had multiple debriefs.
