I had a kid come in one fall who I’ve had the previous year who said how much he missed me… I was like, “Bro I failed you!” It rarely makes sense.

It has happened to me many times! Some of the ones who hated me the most at the beginning of the year, said I was the best teacher they have had, etc😂

My FIL (63) owns a small business and wants to retire. He has an option to rent the building for 2 years then sell it for $4m or another option just to rent it indefinitely but at a lower rate. Rental income would be approx 18.5k / month. What do we need to consider for tax implications etc? Are there advisors that specialise in this kind of thing? Thanks!

Our district is moving all employees to district pay starting next school year. There were multiple employees that were employed/paid through our local temp agency. While it’s great that they are now offering this, the downfall is that those employees that have been working at the school for 5 plus years will be getting the same pay as those that are new hires. I feel that this is unfair to those that have been there longer and have pre experience vs those just starting out.
