Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a connection at Netflix ! I am an author/marketing associate and truly my dream job is to work on the team that creates/produces Drive to Survive. I am a huge F1 fan! However, I am willing to start where I can and work my way there! I was laid off due to Covid and just trying to get back into the field and industry I love.

I am on notice period with Tata Consultancy with 2 months remaining with an offer in hand where the joining date is just after notice period ends. Now, I got early release from current company and thus, I saved 2 months. But I want to use these 2 months for travelling, upskilling and looking for better offers instead of contacting the new company for early joining. So, if I join the new company after 2 months will this be considered as a 'gap' in my profile in the future and will it be harmful?

As long as you don’t hear them talking back to you I think you are ok.

I don’t think there is anything wrong if it makes you happy and have regular relationships with others.
I think this is totally normal! I have the same thing. Four (5 if you count the tiny offspring one carries in his onesie named PJ) of them sleep in bed with me. The dad is half-brothers with another that’s a polar bear. His half-sister is my favorite -a gift from my husband on our first Christmas. She’s a very scandalous hustler, while the polar bear is super gullible but protective. The one with the baby speaks in a whisper. So, I do the same thing. No, I’m not crazy. No, I don’t hear them speaking unless of course, it is me speaking for them. I think it’s comical but also comforting to sleep with them. The advice on here insinuating you have a problem is ludicrous. Like me, you probably have a vivid imagination that you don’t get to express otherwise.
This is exactly how I feel! Silly but brings joys to my heart
Have any of the relationships become physical?
No. But I do sleep with some of them.
Keep these things to yourself. I was better off not knowing there are people like you out there in this world
D2, appreciate your nice comment.
Love the creativity. Next: write the dialogues down and sell the script to Disney :)
Go for it!
I'm a guy and still sleep with a stuffed animal that my parents got me when I was a kid. When I was a kid, I begged to my parents for a pet. They refused to get me a real animal and gave me a stuffed animal instead. My mom also made a voice of that stuffed animal to me. Having that stuffed animal around me reminds me of my mom since I don't see her often. Frankly speaking, I sometimes talk to it. While people may perceive this weird or unusual, they don't understand the emotional attachment behind that. In fact, it's much better than having an obsession with violence, drugs, alcohol, etc
Hmmm. I agree with EY1. As long as they’re not “talking back” then you sound alright. I also talk to my dog on the regular and created a voice for him, so take my advice with a grain of pink Himalayan sea salt because maybe I have problems too.

To say that this behavior is odd would be an understatement. But I have some questions, do you have real life friends or are these stuffed animals serving as your friends? Also are you in a relationship and if so, what does your S/O think Of this?
Chief
Well, presumably this behavior is not causing an issue in your day to day life. But do you personally think this is a phase or do you think this is something that will always exist?
And while you say this is calming, hopefully you’ll get to the bottom of whatever is casing you anxiety.

Not nearly enough information here, nor do I think this is a great avenue to get advice on potential medical disorders. But this is a topic worth discussing with a psychologist
Have any of them had the stuffing beaten out of them?
This entire discussion gets my juices flowing
I think this conversation needs to happen with your therapist and not random strangers on the internet. I personally think it’s weird but what do I know

This is a confession not a question.
I’m fascinated. I would love to learn more about the relationships between them. Stuffed animal soap opera.
It is too complicated to explain here now that it's been developing for 10 years.

This would probably feel weirder if I hadn’t watched Toy Story 4 last night on Disney+

As long as you're not substituting for real relationships I don't think most people mind

I'm so curious OP. Please answer the above questions
It’s kinda quirky, but you have a good imagination. As long as you’re not using it as a substitute for human relationships, it sounds harmless. Do your friends or family know?
How fun to have someone to share that with. An SO and I developed a bunch of characters and stories out of emojis that we’d text each other (it started with an accidentally sent emoji and snowballed from there). It was a fun way to pass time and be creative together.
