Hi fishes,I have around 5.2 yrs of hands on exp in data engg. and able to clear service based companies interviews easily. Now I want to switch to product based companies as I am looking for some good work, good salary but I am not really strong in dsa as it's not part of my daily work.I don't really use trees and graphs as part of my daily work.
How shall I switch to product based companies considering DSA is their 1st round itself.what level of DSA can I expect from companies for data engineer position?
Hello,
Last Wednesday I was able to get a Deloitte job referral, I applied the next day. Yesterday I signed in to my account and it shows that I applied for the job but when I click on the link it show me an error page. I searched for the job on the website itself and it disappeared. There were like multiple positions but different locations, now they’re all expired. What does this mean? Did they choose a candidate already? It’s weird it never happened to me before
Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

I’m outside of the industry, but a few things that I’m naive about might give you some ideas:
How is inventory accounted for and how are different classes of assets differentiated?
Is revenue entirely retail sales or are there wholesale streams as well?
What systems are you currently using and are there inherent limitations that you’ve encountered thus far?
What has been the most challenging or subjective activity to account for so far?
Assuming US: what sort of contingencies for cash held but not in bank have you recorded? Is insurance coverage ample?
Who are the primary stakeholders in the business and what do the company’s future capital and liquidity sources look like?
What about competitors and how this company plays in the market?
Some of these can probably be answered if they’re public but hopefully one of these gets your noodle going.

If they use channels instead of water bays, you can ask what sort of technology infrastructure they have and if they’re likely to upgrade soon. I’m thinking for the computers and monitoring software that is in charge of water and chemical distribution.

They have not; nor have I. That was a question in the pre interview.

I feel it didn’t go well. Which probably means I’ll have a job offer soon. 🤷🏻♂️

I didn’t get that job. I got a different job.
Cash is a problem in the industry and they can’t use fdic insured banks, because it is federally still illegal. They have large vaults in Colorado. Ask if that impacts their processes, a s if any other federal laws create unique issues.

👍🏻
^ Yes, this. Must use cash. I’d definitely ask something about this.
