I have a counter offer from another company but not such a great brand. Really confused what to do!

If the offer is a good one, and a higher position for you it may be worth it to take the offer and then later down the road look at moving to a company whose brand you like better.

What does the company offer that makes it special? If the answer is nothing, you should probably tell them no.

So the offer is a bit more, but it's not a higher position. I wouldn't say it's not special.

After taxes, if it's not that much then you won't even feel it in your checks. It depends on your reasons. Do you need the extra money? Would you prefer to be with a credible brand? Think about your future and other career choices you may make after you leave.

Anyone have an example of a successful resume for non-tech role in tech companies (link)? I want to see if any of my experience is relevant for companies like Amazon.

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

I’m flying from NYC to LA with my 20 month old next month. Obviously we haven’t flown with him since he was a tiny baby and I’m a little freaked out about the whole thing. Any tips on making the traveling more bearable? Is there anything I can do to make the time change less disruptive?

What is the annual promotion & performance cycle in KPMG global

I rolled off a project 3 months ago. They keep reaching out and asking me to help onboard new teammates to give them historical knowledge (it’s a long-term project). Do I have to keep doing this? Or does it get to a point where I can say I don’t have the time and there must be someone more recent who can help?

Coach just told me I'm getting promoted to senior this year 😊 I'm looking for an exit with my senior title now. Where do I start

Hi 🐟 ! I'm a senior in undergrad that interviewed through final rounds with a few mbb/tier 2 consulting firms recruiting from my school. The recruiting process didn't go too well for me overall and

@ Guidehouse ppl - I left the firm a year ago but left my 401K funds w my old Transamerica acct w GH. Now GH is bought by Navigant & Transamerica said my contract is ending..will I lose my 401k $???

Thoughts on JD/MBA?’

Planning a weekend getaway for my aunt’s birthday this year. She would like something local and a bit remote to allow lots of reflection/meditation. What local areas do you recommend? I’m in DC/MD.

How do I continue effectively WFH in a temporary, but abusive household? 😞

Is it worth a try to transfer from Kellogg two year program to MMM program? Anyone succeeded in the transfer before? Interested in digital transformation and wanna be a consultant post-MBA. No academic background on design/engineering tho.

I’m going in for a doctor’s appointment tomorrow to find out if I have lymphoma. Am I supposed to like... work if I’m diagnosed? Our company has short term and long term disability leave options but idk. I’d love time off work but not at the expense of cancer (joking to try and get through today)

After graduation I moved back home to save a bit of money. I am now 24 and want to move out this summer. I have very conservative immigrant parents that I know will be both angry and heartbroken when I tell them I want to move out. For those with similar parents - how did you have this conversation with them? I’m the oldest child and daughter and have spent most of my life trying to make my parents proud - the thought of disappointing them is tough 😞

For folks exiting to FAANG / Product at start ups or really any hot company. How do you go about networking to get the interview? Do you apply then cold email someone you may have an “in”with, or are you picking say 10 companies and then having warm contacts there that you’ll ping when you see a job. I’ve been passively looking for jobs but zero luck, I only want to leave for the right fit. Big 4 here so feel my brand won’t auto get me an interview like mbb/t2
