There is a paralegal (not mine) in my firm that is making everyone miserable. She cries at her desk, complains about being overworked and is rude to the other paralegals, staff, and a couple of the attorneys. She is so disrespectful to me that I recently asked to work from home for a month (I am dealing with some other mental health issues and she is too much). My request was granted, and last Friday I was in the office to make sure several motions were filed properly. Continued in comment:
Folks who know/managed to generate a large capital (in Millions), what are some of the reliable and capable sources/people/websites to target? Healthcare industry if that matters. Thanks!
I never thought I’d say this - but I have cancelled my trip to the Modex industry show in Atlanta next week out of an abundance of caution over coronavirus related to elderly relatives.
My mantra for today is Grateful. Grateful to have a job, grateful for family, grateful for health.
I’ve been fully vaccinated since early this year (Pfizer), and tested positive for Covid-19 three days ago. I’m laid up in bed feeling terrible and quarantined so that my wife (who tested negative) and two kids don’t catch it from me. Remember: be safe. Don’t relax yet. The vaccines are wonderful, but we can still get it and pass it on.
Would any Partner-level individual in this bowl be willing give a coaching session (or know a career coach)? Looking for help with a few business / health / tech related questions and can of course compensate your time. Thank you!

Anyone resigned lease that had covid free months/ incentives recently? Were you able to keep some incentive or did price went back to normal?
Has anyone ever been bullied by their co workers and paras ? I work with a very cliquey staff. I picked the wrong battle and they have been paying me back with all year. I’m actually sick to my stomach when I think about going back next year and it’s not just about Covid. I have apologized for not staying in my own lane and gone above and beyond to help this teacher with her IEP paperwork. I’m at a loss.
Can COVID be transmitted through water?
How does everyone feel about covid and traveling? Seeing uptrends in the upcoming months.
What have you done when you switch jobs and don’t qualify for FMLA or FFRCA and everyone in your household contracts COVID?
Curious about the perception of Watson Health , and if ppl think it’s a good place to start a career (why/why not). Thanks :)
Wow. McKinsey, which has the biggest public sector presence of the MBB, really hasn't been doing too hot at all in the sector. Its presence is tiny and it's gotten even smaller. Meanwhile it's bungling whatever opportunities it's getting. https://www.propublica.org/article/how-mckinsey-is-making-100-million-and-counting-advising-on-the-governments-bumbling-coronavirus-response
So, COVID is running wild, pay decreases are in full effect and you just found out one of the worst creatives in the building just got promoted! How do you react?
Watching Screens(Laptop, Phone, TV) all day is giving me headaches. Pre-COVID, interaction with people will take some time off screen. What are some ways you guys are coping to give some rest to eyes?
Some days I get so stressed and can't help but think how bad this job is for my mental health, and I lean towards leaving. But then I can't help but think about how "the grass isn't always greener" 😞
Due to COVID impact on my family, I had to take a long break (10 months) from work, went back to the home country and be with them. Since things are settled now I would like to get back to work. I have over 9 years of experience and on H1-B visa. How should I justify the gap to the recruiters? What kind of questions can I expect?
Are there any M7s that are particularly good for breaking into VC? Any non-M7s as well? Looking to break into Healthcare VC if that makes a difference

What does it mean when the HM wants to talk to me again? Already had the first round interview with her, move me to 2nd interview and passed already.
Interviewing for Strategy&, specifically for the Cloud and Digital Transformation group under tech Strategy as a senior associate. I Would like to know what would make a candidate standout here. I already did 3 interviews and now have the final round Partner interviews this week. I have a lot of strategy experience with tech components but I am not a tech expert, but I am extremely interested in increasing my knowledge and joining. Any tips?
Tech consulting (cloud) offers. Which one to choose? Accenture - Cloud Native Application Architect - 180K - 20K signon Insight DI - Architect I - 167K base + 10% bonus - 5K sign on Money & benefit wise acc. looks good but I am concerned about the WLB. Also, I interviewed for Cloud native sr. architect. Recruiter came back with 'great feedback' but is now asking me to apply for application architect. It doesn't make any sense to me. Is that normal? It seems there was a goof up from recruiter
Anyone here taken the CFP?

I feel trapped. I hate consulting, hard work, corporate life in general. I have so much student debt after MBA school that I have to take these high paying jobs that require a lot of effort but I just don’t think I’m built to do this forever. I don’t spend much on other things but it’s scary what happens to my finances if I make a major purchase like a house, have a kid, etc. Not sure if I’m asking for advice or rambling
How hard is it to move from GPS to Commercial REALLY? Im wrapping up MBA in London, and I have a Deloitte GPS finance and EP offer and I’m hearing bad things about being able to move to commercial after I’m in there. Anyone has genuine or constructive feedback for me please ? Appreciate it
My team is trying to find a better way to track talent. We have an ATS we like for everything but tracking the talent pipeline. Anyone have good one off tools they use for talent pipeline tracking? Even better if it integrates with Microsoft Teams.
How is the travel situation for everyone here? I’ve been WFH for over a year now, no end in sight!
If Joe Biden can’t do an interview with James Corden without a teleprompter how do we think he will handle Mexico, China, Russia, and all our other adversaries?
