I have a fatty liver but my doctor didn’t give me any advice on recommendations on how to combat aside from “lose weight”. Gained 30 lbs during Covid. I am almost 40 y.o and around 285. Anyone have a fatty liver or best advice on how to lose weight and get health under control? Thanks I’m advance fishes!!

Go back to your doctor and make a plan, or get help from a nutritionist. Given the risks around fatty liver, I wouldn’t try to go solo on figuring out a plan. Did your doctor help you understand causes for your weight gain? Is there something going on which needs treatment (thyroid, excess alcohol, etc)?

Agree with all of this. Depending on what city you’re in, you could also see if there are any doctors nearby that have a weight loss specialty. I did this when I needed help losing weight, and found a private practice led by a doc that specialized in weight loss/management, but also had a dietitian, therapist, exercise physiologist, etc on staff so that you had access to each of the related specialities that you could need. Places like this tend to be really good at testing for thyroid stuff etc before setting up a specific plan for you.

Cut carbs, transition to a ketogenic diet. Slam water. Try to drink 80oz of water per day.

Please consult with your doctor and a registered dietician and get a sustainable meal plan from them! Many other things aren't always sustainable and many dieticians are covered by health insurance from my experience

If you can afford it, also look into a personal trainer! The extra advice and accountability to do workouts helps a ton, and some will also help with diet advice

My dad has this and I’m currently going through this struggle because his has developed into cirrhosis. Through my experience we were connected with a dietitian to help create a diet plan. Because you have a critical condition, your doctor should be able to connect you to a liver doctor to get some assistance on what does the diet look like.

My dads diet is low sodium, low potassium, low carbs, and high protein (vegetarian) diet!

Vitamin E, cardio, keto, IF, substitute water for most of your drinks.

There is a paralegal (not mine) in my firm that is making everyone miserable. She cries at her desk, complains about being overworked and is rude to the other paralegals, staff, and a couple of the attorneys. She is so disrespectful to me that I recently asked to work from home for a month (I am dealing with some other mental health issues and she is too much). My request was granted, and last Friday I was in the office to make sure several motions were filed properly. Continued in comment:

I’ve been fully vaccinated since early this year (Pfizer), and tested positive for Covid-19 three days ago. I’m laid up in bed feeling terrible and quarantined so that my wife (who tested negative) and two kids don’t catch it from me. Remember: be safe. Don’t relax yet. The vaccines are wonderful, but we can still get it and pass it on.

Tech consulting (cloud) offers. Which one to choose? Accenture - Cloud Native Application Architect - 180K - 20K signon Insight DI - Architect I - 167K base + 10% bonus - 5K sign on Money & benefit wise acc. looks good but I am concerned about the WLB. Also, I interviewed for Cloud native sr. architect. Recruiter came back with 'great feedback' but is now asking me to apply for application architect. It doesn't make any sense to me. Is that normal? It seems there was a goof up from recruiter
