I have a few interviews lined-up and wondering if it’s unprofessional to wear my nose ring on an interview? What are your thoughts?

I wore mine. If you plan on wearing it to work, wear it to the interview.

like

Probably depends on the job and how conservative the industry is.

like

Please take the nose ring out. Very simple to put it back in once the interview is over.

If you’re worried about it closing get a nose ring retainer.

like

It's mostly acceptable now, if you plan on wearing it on a daily basis at work anyways I say keep it, but maybe change it to one that's small instead of you have something big or flashy.

like

I wear it everyday to work. I work in financial services. It’s tiny and not flashy at all.

I took mine off to look as neutral and possible

like

I would take it off myself. I don't normally dress up, do hair and makeup daily but I do it for an interview...and no one questions that...food for thought! Good luck.

like

I would advise taking it out for the interview, you don't want someone to discriminate against you on how you present yourself. Lots of companies preach about how open they are about diversity, inclusion etc, but sadly this is not the case.

Agree 100 percent. Thank you!

Luckily I received an offer last week from a new company that values my experience. After what happened today, I just wanted to vent.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

I’ve spent the past several years as PM on internal systems . I’m interviewing with a healthcare company and the products would be for external clients (patients). This feels like a big step up for me; significant change in budget, expected quality, and industry.

Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?

About 6 months ago I began a paid internship as an electrical engineer. They recently gave me a notice that my internship ends at the end of August. Other interns are there that haven't been told this. Mind you I am a female where the others are males.

So I interviewed and two days later, I was offered the position. Went through a background check & negotiated salary.
