I have a few interviews lined-up and wondering if it’s unprofessional to wear my nose ring on an interview? What are your thoughts?

New manager said last week he wants to replace me with someone less experienced and presumably cheaper. Of course being very “nice”, allowing me to take my time looking for external opportunities. My performance has always been exceed expectations. He recently became my manager. Today, he reassigned one of my projects without discussing with me. Was so annoyed. Luckily I received an offer last week from a new company that values my experience. After what happened today, I just wanted to vent.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? What is the hierarchy at your company and the salary differential for each position? We have staff attorney, associate general counsel, assistant general counsel, deputy general counsel, and then general counsel. Thx. I would guess that the ranges are about $25k differential per position.

Has anyone here pivoted to a chief of staff position? Particularly interested in chief of staff for an in house legal team which may be too niche but generally curious about how you like it? About 6 months ago I began a paid internship as an electrical engineer. They recently gave me a notice that my internship ends at the end of August. I asked if there's something they could do to hire me on permanently. They tell me to apply to jobs on the website. I was told that internships only go for 1 year. I’m in the middle of an interview process for a senior consultant position at a top 10 consulting firm. I just got offered a promotion to engagement lead at my current consulting firm and a significant comp raise. I’m still interested in continuing the interview process, but the original salary range I gave to the recruiter is now lower than my new salary post-promotion, and I’m now in a higher position than im interviewing for. Recently got called for an interview for strategy/ operations role by a Faang company. I had my first screening call with the hiring manager, mostly all behavioral questions so hard to tell the result. The one area I felt I could probably brush up on is program management as my current industry is Pharma and tech industries are different. So I applied for a position & received feedback from the hiring manager stating that the position that I applied for was filled internally but they would like consider me for another position. So I interviewed and two days later, I was offered the position. Went through a background check & negotiated salary. It’s been almost 2 months and they stated that the delay is due to internal HR issues since the dept director did not create a new job requisition for the job they offered me. Thoughts?

I had an in person interview on Friday morning and sent a thank you email eod Friday. Now I’m wishing I would have asked when to expect to hear back. It was a panel interview with a smaller municipality. How do people deal with the wait game, how long do I wait before reaching out? I've applied and networked for my dream job and didn't get an interview this time. Also dissatisfied with compensation and some of the responsibilities at my current job but have a lot of opportunity to learn.
